Story of my first date in the University.

This happened just months after I was given admission into the University.

There was this girl Remilekun a native of Lagos State i had been admiring her since the first time I saw her in school,but I never tried to walk up to her or try exchange numbers with her.

She was a very quiet, beautiful,humble and decent girl. She made me believe in love at first sight.

Luckily for me,I had the privilege to meet her at a movie night in the school,at first I was afraid on how to approach her ,as she didn't know me from anywhere.

Well i summoned courage and walked up to her ,introduced myself and from there we became good friends.

We talked for a long time and the way she was replying made me feel she also had interest in me. But I was still afraid to try and ask her out due to my past experiences with girls,I always end up receiving the word No! or let's just be friends from them.

My problem was how to tell her! I was scared of what her response would be and how she would react.

Finally on this day August 3rd 2021 ,I chatted her up to come out for lunch in an eatery near the school shopping mall that I had something important to tell her.

We ordered chicken and chips and we also ate fried rice,salad and chicken with a bottle of non-alcoholic wine (as I don't take alcohol).

Earlier that day I already rehearsed on what to tell her and how to express my feelings ,I was talking to the mirror and I said I would tell her I find her attractive would want her to be my first love and so on.

We both went out as agreed and I expressed my feelings and told her all that I have rehearsed but she told me she would like to focus on her studies and she was not ready for any relationship.

I didn't believe her because i feel she wasn't interested in me ,but didn't want me to feel bad or affect my emotions. So I decided to keep on chatting and talking to her constantly ,and not to let her go or give up on her as she might still change her mind and try to give me a chance in her life.

Oh yes,I asked her out again for the second time and she gave me a yes she explained to me that she also liked me but wanted to see if I truly love her the way I always say.

Although I was disappointed but still happy,that was one of the best days of my life and as a matter of fact,we have dated for over 8 months now.
