Visit to the dentistβ¨π¦·π
Greetings friends of Hive and dear community of weekend experiences β¨.
This time I would like to share with you about my Saturday, as I had the opportunity to go to the dentist, for quite some time I did not go and I knew very well that I needed to go.
What motivated me to say "you have to go to the dentist", a discomfort in the lower left gum, just where the wisdom tooth should come out.
So I decided not to ignore the discomfort and organize myself to go to a doctor's office and have a cleaning and take the opportunity to find out if the discomfort is due to the wisdom tooth.
I spent the last week asking for prices to get an estimate on expenses. Fortunately for me I got a place that was on their 15th anniversary, so they had discounted prices for consultation and cleaning, in the dental area. So I made an appointment for Saturday.
At the site there were balloons that read "anniversary discount" and "we are on anniversary"
I have a small baby, so I arranged for her dad to take care of her, so I could go, because going to the office with the baby, only the two of us were going to do the teeth cleaning process, impossible.
Saturday arrived, I went to the place, I had an appointment for 10am, it took a little longer, so I waited.
When it was time for the consultation I had the cleaning, this procedure for me is not painful, it gives me some sensitivity, what I hate the most is the feeling it gives in my teeth and the sound it makes. I also had the restoration of a tooth because of a cavity. The doctor was very kind and attentive, which makes the consultation feel more pleasant. I asked if the cause of the discomfort in the gum is the wisdom tooth, and apparently it could be the problem, but it does not look like it is coming out at the moment, so I would have to have a dental panoramic, which is an x-ray to see the location of the teeth and thus know how the wisdom tooth is coming, also, I asked prices to have an estimate on the extraction of a wisdom tooth.
That day I left there in a very good mood, I felt taken care of, I felt that I did one of the things I had planned for before the end of the year and I can now get organized for the extraction of the wisdom tooth, which makes me feel motivated and at the same time relieved that I was able to advance something of what I wanted to do.
And you, what feelings have you had when you leave the dentist's office? What sensations have you had when you are undergoing a dental intervention?
Never like a visit to the dentist to be honest.
Hate the sound of the drills while you're lying there opening your mouth widely π
Though they are necessary, so I don't have much of a choice, haha!
hahahaha yes, it looks like a torture scene. You go to the dentist because it's time. I don't know if you have had your wisdom teeth removed, I had 3 removed, I only have 1 left. When they took them out it was horrible.
Hahaa I removed all 4 at once even though the other 3 weren't bothering me!
Just didn't want to go through the ordeal again so had the dentist remove it all in a single session.
Also another reason why I decided to remove all 4 at once was because I get to be put under GA (General Anesthesia) during the operation so that I don't get to hear all those drillings during the extraction π
I didn't know that you could use general anesthesia for wisdom tooth extraction! π±
My plan was like yours to get all 4 at once, but the doctor told me that it was more painful that way, so it was better to first get two and then two more.
First I took off the top ones, the anesthesia was given with a kind of injection in the palate, that was very horrible. Two weeks later I got the bottom two. They took one out, but the tooth is very stuck so it took a long time and the anesthesia was stopping working.
When he took out the tooth his mouth was already awake and starting with the other tooth would be more torture. Two weeks later this last tooth would come, but classes started a few days later. If I pulled my tooth out I wouldn't go to class and I wouldn't miss my subjects.
7 years later I still have this problem and have to go through it again.
OMG this sound like a nightmare to me! π±
Yeah when the option was presented to me where I could go on a GA, I didn't think twice about it. Just wanted to be knocked out and wake up with all of it being removed! π
hahahaha it was and it will have a 2nd season with the missing tooth.
Hahaha yeah I will be awaiting that 2nd season to go on air! ππ€£
I don't mind going to the dentist, maybe because my dentist is cute, although it costs a lot!
It's good you were able to go and get a few things sorted out. All the best with the wisdom tooth extraction, I had all of mine out at the same time back when I was twenty one...not a good experience, but it was necessary and I don't remember the pain now. :)
Hello Galenkp! I remember your publication on this topic and it is quite expensive to go to the dentist there. It's good that you got out of that a long time ago, I had three wisdom teeth removed. I only have this one left, in some way I already know what the process and recovery is like. I remember being very hungry on the liquid diet hahaha that didn't fill me up.
Oh yeah, I was the same...couldn't eat...wasn't fun. π
Ohooo, goos things it is their Anniversary Celebration, you get to have a discount (δΊΊ β’Να΄β’Ν). How I wish some dental clinic here has that too, lol. I will also took advantage of that if ever, lol. Although I am giving extra care foe my teeth, still, I want to make it more cleaner. I just want nine to get clean too uwu
hahahaha I didn't know they did that, I was researching and went to that site and they were with this discount thing so I said "here it is" hahaha that's also good because it attracts more customers. If you get a promotion like this you will surely take it π
wow what a beautiful dentist's room @samantha.asami
Hello! The place was quite nice, in addition to the discount that was another thing I took into account when choosing a place to go.
Of course I know that it may not be very pleasant to spend a weekend visiting the dentist but as you say it is extremely necessary in my case I have not been going for some time and it is good that you mention it because that way I remember that I also have to go to the dentist.
hahahaha really, out of so many fun things for a weekend, this is not a hahaha I'm happy to remind you, sometimes we go through life that we don't even remember things like that and suddenly "hey, I have to do this"
