Exactly that is one of the lessons, having to be with people who respect the decision-making space of the other.

Yeah my point too, how can anyone "coerce" a friend into doing something "bad".
Everyone should have the freedom to choose what they like or dislike especially when it comes to smoking / alcohol. There shouldn't be a scenario where you're being pressured into doing these things! 😤
I think that whoever does it doesn't see it as a bad thing, it's like "including in the fun", the fun that that person considers right.
Today I was with some girls and one of them said she didn't want to drink alcohol anymore, she hasn't done it for a year. And that every time she goes to a party the insistence for her to do it is strong. She didn't even know about it, it was just a matter of the moment. Still, I felt that it was just like what she said about social pressure. It's everywhere.
Well yeah I guess you are right in that, didn't think about it from that perspective! But again, the warnings of a "damaged lungs" right on the cigarette packaging itself should be self explanatory on how harmful it is even though it is fun right? 🤔
Feel bad for your girls since they can't attend a party these days to have real fun without getting pressured to do stuff they don't like 😢
Seeing that image and not getting out of there, I think it's out of denial "that's not going to happen to me." I have a girl and I have not yet felt that fear, I know that when she is older I will have it very much in mind
Yup I think that is what they are probably thinking! 😖
Yeah as a parent, I can totally understand where your fear is coming from!
Would never want my kid (don't have right now) one day to be placed in that kind of situation!
