Routine Change || W.E #271

So last weekend I decided to start something a little bit different from what I always do on weekends.

I mean normally I would wake up late for starters, only when I have some laundry to do will I wake up early. Then I would make breakfast then proceed to doing some house chores before eating. Sometimes I could do both simultaneously and stay indoors watching movies for the rest of the day.

Last weekend I decided to go for a morning jog. Haha. I have been telling myself that I need to take exercises more seriously instead of just telling myself “walking is an exercise”.

Since we were often told just how much exercise is good for the body, I decided to go for it. I got my sportswear ready which consists of a sport cloth, shoes, black socks and a white and black mini head warmer. I took some pictures and got them on. Then I remembered where I kept the red mini head warmer and decided use that instead 😃😃😃.

I started from my house and walked dow the junction of my house. There, I took off. I thought of going with my headphones but I realized it wouldn't be a good idea since I would be running close to the road.

I started slowly, jogging just a little bit, then increased my pace little by little. On my way I was met with some stares as it's a little uncommon to see women going for early morning jogging around my area.

I jogged straight down for a while. I saw some guys also jogging on the other side of the road. A few waved and I waved back.

Then I’d started feeling thirsty and I didn't go with a water container nor did I wear a watch so I don't know how many minutes I had been jogging before feeling tired. I guess I didn't do my research well before going for this jog. I thought all I needed to do was just to jog around and I would be fine.

Coming back was a little tricky as many people were already up and about that time. I walked a little, jogged a little till I got back home. I don't know if I should say I ran a few miles or jogged a few miles because I was already panting heavily and my throat was so dry.

Jogging isn't as easy as I thought. So, I knew I would get a water bottle container for my next run, maybe I would go farther than I did. I would also be getting a smart watch. I have wanted to get one for a while but felt I didn't need it but now I know I do.

This weekend, I wanted to do the same thing but the weather had other plans. It rained, though not heavily but it actually halted my plans to continue my jog. I waited a while but opted to do some mini jogs around my compound instead since I was already dressed.

I do hope I get to stay consistent with this new found hobby of mine.
