Celebrating My Friend's New Bike with a KFC Treat

First of all, I would like to make it clear that I am not a big fan of KFC or McDonalds, I would rather prefer reasonable and tasty burger from any other brand or local shop instead of investing the double in these two big brands. They are just selling the name that’s all, one can easily find more delicious and pocket friendly burgers nearby but then, we have die-hard fans of KFC & McDonalds with whom you don’t wanna argue. They have many reasons to like them. Well, for me FOC meals are always welcome and they are always delicious lol.

Couple of weeks ago, my friend planned a night out to play cards, dominos or snooker on Saturday night. We got connected on WhatsApp group and gathered at the decided location, a small tea restaurant which we call it “Dhaba” or “ Chai ka Hotel” in Pakistan. One of our friend gave us a surprise, a new bike wow it was looking splendid. I am not fond of bikes because I don’t know how to ride. However, his bike was looking really nice and big. It was Honda 125CC model 2011. Without wasting time, we asked him for the party on his new bike.

In WhatsApp group, he was the one who was feeling hungry the most and asking everyone for KFC. Now, we asked him for KFC treat. He was like I don’t have money and blah blah but we ignored everything he said and made him realize that he has bought a new bike of around USD 560 then how come he cannot give us a treat of USD 9. Finally, he agreed and wowow we headed to the nearest KFC branch. One of my friend missed it and joined us after the treat, oopps that was a bad miss.

I already had my dinner at home so I was like I will not eat much. My other three friends were badly craving for mighty zinger. I asked them to buy me a little one, a crunch burger or something like that but they all know me very well, they said this mighty will not be a real mighty for you and can easily be eaten even if you already had dinner. I was amazed to see their so much of believe and trust on me.

The mighty zingers arrived with soft drink, I think it was midnight deal or something like that. And yes they were so correct, it was not that mighty. I have eaten KFC in Karachi but it was after a long time. in my first bite, I felt that the bun was not fresh. I asked others but they said it is ok and yummy. No doubt, it was yummy but the bun was ruining the whole mood. None of them agreed with me. then I realized how the name the brand play with our minds, no one is ready to accept because it is from KFC. Not just my friends, I saw others too eating like crazy so finally I have to accept that it is fresh and I was the first to finish my burger lol remember I said I was full as already had dinner at home.

I don’t see anything exceptional or different or unique thing in these burgers. But yes, the time we spent together while eating, that matters a lot and we enjoyed it perfectly. Thanks to my friend who gave us this wonderful treat. Later, we played cards and snooker to spend rest of the night together and went back home early in the morning. It was a nice weekend night with friends.
