¡Hello everyone!

❤️❤️ Glad to be back for another day of sharing life experiences with you all ❤️❤️

Today I'll share something that for me is very important a meaningful. My mom's birthday was this weekend and my little sister Gigi and me planned a surprise for her, and my big sister Maria, her husband Gianni, and my baby nephew Nino (that's a pet name) came from the Capital to be with us on this day.

I have to tell you, planning a surprise is very hard, more difficult when the person you want to surprise lives with you, so I had a full week of coming and going trying to hide everything from her.

The upside was that Nino turned 3 years old on December second, and since Maria couldn't celebrate it like she wanted we decided to do it here, so on that part it was easy because mom thought that all the planning and buying was for him only, what she didn't know was that we had things hidden for her.

On Friday afternoon Gigi and I were going to buy mom's gift but Gigi had to work and mom decided to tag along with me!.
I had to come up with a lie which I thought she didn't buy but as it turns out she did! And it was good because without knowing, she picked out her gift ❤️

We also got the cake, which we bought at a local bakery, very affordable and good looking, especially compared with some crazy people who wanted to charge me 10$ for a 10cm diameter square sponge with meringue. The one we got had buttercream, peanuts, chocolate decorations, and cherries.

On Saturday morning, Gigi and I left very early to pick up the flowers to get them to a friend of ours who does arrangements, then we went to pick up the cake that mom and I had paid for and had on hold the day before, the gift, and some other things for lunch. After picking up the arrangement we went home and started the birthday celebration and my oh my, she was surprised, she even cried!

Then the gift...

After giving her the gifts Gigi cut her hair mostly to patch up the last one where the stylist did a horrible job, no offense. Upon finishing, she took a shower and dressed up for the occasion.

At 1 pm Maria, her husband and my nephew arrived from Caracas and then we sat down to eat lunch. No pictures though, nobody thought of that, sad because those burgers looked and tasted good.

Now was time to set up everything else, the gifts and decorations for Nino. We got him Balloons which he loves, a pair of Shoes and Christmas Pajamas plus some chocolate ❤️
He was excited but more excited were his parents, Maria and Gianni.

We waited for my aunt to arrive and had some drinks while Nino tried to put some decorations on the tree. He then decided to try on his new shoes, that was cute.
Before we knew it it was time to sing Happy Birthday!
That was an awesome moment ❤️

The rest of the day was lovely and the celebration was oven by 9 pm, to be picked up again on Sunday. I made a Traditional Venezuelan Sancocho on an open fire in our backyard.
Despite some inconveniences, it was a very yummy soup, Gianni ate three bowls!

Again, nobody took pictures but I managed to get one of Gianni eating his last bowl of soup.

In the end, we had a blast, we were together as a family, and mom was so so happy and loved, as always of course, but this weekend was more special, it was her first birthday celebration after dad's passing and the first celebrated with her grandson.

As for me, I'm grateful that I was able to do this for her and the family, I feel blessed to have them and I hope time gifts us more moments like this one, all together and happy.
