WE82: Bring On 2022

in Weekend Experiences3 years ago

Dear weekenders, I hope you all had a wonderful New Years Eve and wishing you the very best for 2022. In the past week I already did some looking back on 2021, my first year in crypto and an exciting year, but for now I would like to look forward into 2022!

In this post, looking ahead I want to look at two main things: my personal goals for this year and my financial goals!

Personal Goals: Healthy and Happy

I have a good life, I like my life and I enjoy the people I spend it with. My partner and I are making plans to get married, have kids. So I would like to continue on that happy road of my relationships. But my health is a point of improvement. I also piled on the Corona kilos in the past two years and will have to work hard in 2022 to shed them, because I want them gone! I want to go back to being fit, stomping around in the mountains and underground and being active.

So the first goal is to be more healthy, now that is a very vague thing, and I have always learned that the more precise you list your goals the better off you are. So I made a list of three things I want to change:

1. Eat Less, Enjoy More the portion size has to come down and instead of shoveling things in in a hurry I want to enjoy good food, lots of healthy veggies and home made meals. Be gone processed food!
2. Get a Move On I will cycle to work every work day (11km one way) and do at least 3 other work outs a week. I always loved exercise so I just need to get back into the swing of things.
3. Stay Off The Drink I am not really an excessive drinker, but I like a glass or two. Problem is that after the third glass I usually start eating as well. I mean what goes better with wine than cheese? or crisps? So drinking less should help. Will start with Dry January, tried that last year and liked it. And no more drinking on weekdays!

My Financial Goals of 2022

So 2021 was my first year in crypto and at that was a pretty profitable year, I made about $1400 with blogging, play2earn and interacting online. So naturally I want to keep that up or even expand that into 2022!

Last year I kept most my Hive earnings on the platform and put some HBD into Ethereum. Everything from Read and Noise cash I did take out, in Bitcoin Cash. My goals last year was to reach 1 BCH (Bitcoin Cash) and I made that goal!
This year I want to put my eggs in a different basket so I have decided to take my profits in BCH and put them into Ethereum. My crypto goal for 2022 will be: owning 0.5 ETH. I have quite a ways to go as I hardly have any ETH at the moment, but hey it wouldn't be fun if it wasn't a challenge!

Anyway, these are my goals. I look forward to seeing your articles looking back on 2021 or forward to 2022. Hopefully this will be another great year for this community, Weekend is by far my favorite place to be on the blockchain so thanks for that @galenkp !

So how come your Corona Kilos look different than my Carb Kilos?

I ate my way through the lockdown phase of the Pandemic. I've lost about 10 of my Carb Kilos and have about 15 left. That'll do for this year...

It just occurred to me that I haven't announced my New Years Resolution. Same as last year, I resolve not to wear a neck tie this year. It's do able :)

I am afraid that photo is how it was from before the lockdown haha, gained about 20 corona kilos, evil things! Also ate my way through lock down!
Haha I like your new years resolution, should be obtainable!

All the best on your goals this year! You can definitely do them :)

I had some giggles on the 20 Corona Kgs😁

Thanks! I think most people can relate to some Corona kgs haha

I think so too. Altho I wish I can have some, lol!

Hi! Happy new year to you. I wish you a year full of joy, health, and prosperity. And reach all your goals.
I like your cryptographic goal, good luck with it, and may you have much to celebrate in that sense.

Thanks so much! Wishing you an amazing year as well and hope you reach all your goals!
