Hello all weekenders! As the monday is here again and we are all thinking about the weekend we had. I had a particularly lovely weekend to be honest, with one of my best friends getting married! It was an incredible weekend full of love, friends and an awesome party!
Here the happy couple and don't they look amazing for their special day!
It was quite a long day, we gathered with 4 girlfriends early in the morning at the house of the bride to help her get ready and also for us to get our hair and make-up done. This was lots of fun, I don't usually do anything special with my hair and I barely ever wear make-up but it was wonderful to go all out for one day. Was especially nice to feel special despite being 36 weeks pregnant, as I usually spend quite a lot of my day sitting as I am tired at the end of pregnancy. Here is my look:
When all the girls were looking pretty and ready with hair and make-up the groom came to the house to see the bride. They didn't want to do the traditional thing of waiting until the ceremony. Here we are all waiting to get going, the nerves were pretty high at this moment!
At 14.00 we were ready and headed to the wedding. They had opted for a festival wedding, so there was a large tent set up with a beautiful view of the surroundings and all of us sitting on chairs waiting for the happy couple to arrive! They arrived in their own car and after some tears and lots of cheering they tied the knot and it was time for the party! Here is my partner and I ready for the party.
The party started around 15.30 and would last until deep in the night, though my pregnant body did not last until the wee hours of the night. We moved to another tent for the party where they had the bar and DJ. One of the super fun things that they had at this wedding was a photobooth so we got lots of fun pictures taken with our friends.
After some dancing we had dinner, a big BBQ was set up and all the partying had made everyone quite hungry so we were happy with a good feed. After dinner we had a womble around the grounds and found this cute goat in the petting zoo and if you look closely you can see it has a heart in its fur! A perfect symbol for a wedding, don't you think?
Around ten o clock at night I was completely spent and me and my very pregnant belly needed a sleep. The other guests were camping at the wedding, but we managed to crash at a friend's place because I don't think I would be able to get out of the tent otherwise! After a well needed rest we went back the next morning to have breakfast with the bride and groom and their guests. I was expecting to see everyone with huge hangovers, but most people seemed surprisingly fresh! The happy couple had even coordinated their breakfast outfit, how funny is this:
We had a great weekend and I am now spending the monday recovering from this weekend! Hope you had a great one as well!
Congratulations on your pregnancy, and may you have a healthy baby in a few weeks' time as we pray for you! 🙏
It's always fascinating to witness weddings from abroad; they have a certain charm that sets them apart from the ones we typically have in Singapore. In Singapore, wedding ceremonies usually involve hosting a banquet in a hotel ballroom, and that's pretty much it 😅
The newlywed couple looks absolutely adorable in their matching outfits. Here's to wishing them a joyful and harmonious marriage in the future! 😊
Thanks a lot for all your lovely well wishes!
You're very welcome! Looking forward to seeing you share a lot more when the baby is here! 😍
Hello Plint!
It's been a long time. I didn't even know you were pregnant and it won't be long now until you give birth, wow congratulations!!!!
It looks like it was a lovely weekend. My best wishes to your newlywed friends. The detail of the heart on the goat's fur is too cute, hehe.
Thanks! Yeah I was absent for quite a while from here, but I am back now! How have you been?
I'm fine:) Do you already know if the baby will be a boy or a girl?
We're having a girl!
Congrats!
