Finally! My feet touched seawater once again. After over a month of not visiting the beach, any beach for that matter, I've found myself in a resort tucked inside the island of Lapu-lapu. But reaching it wasn't as easy as I expected it to be.
If not for Google Maps, reaching Blue Reef Resort Island will be difficult. Either it's difficult to locate it or my mind's just wandering off somewhere that we took not just one but two detours because I missed the instructions given by Google Maps. It's nothing major but we still got lost. Although I've lived in Lapu-Lapu for more than five years, Marigondon was a stranger to me. In fact, it's the first time I've explored that part of the island. You can blame my ignorance on my three mothers (my mother and 2 sisters) who insisted that the only route I should take is home-school-home. I never had the chance to wander back then.
The road to the resort was nothing near friendly; it was a rough road from a certain street all the way to the resort's one and only entrance. That made me think twice if Google was giving us the right direction. A splash of relief came running down my spine when we've seen a couple of cars, buses, and motorcycles parked outside a crowded gate.
This is it! We're here!
I might have not said a word but deep inside, a certain joy sparked warmth and serenity the moment we entered the resort. It was the 4th birthday celebration of my boyfriend's goddaughter. It was nice meeting his friend and everyone for the first time. With all the things that have happened in the past weeks prior to this trip, I was just grateful to be there. I've been used to visiting the beach at least once a month since I went back to freediving last year. But last month, I had to put on hold all activities as I had to take serious care of my health.
I've always been that girl who loves sitting on the shore next to the sand and rocks, staring at the sky as if I could find answers to the questions clinging inside my mind, but for a moment, I was just there sitting not wanting to find answers, just grateful for so many things, for some things I just thought wouldn't happen anytime soon; some things I've had a doubt of coming true. And when things you've prayed for are right in front of you, taking it all in could be priceless.

Looks like it was just what you needed after the absence of beach for a while.
Sorry to hear you got lost… but finally found it after some detours hahaha 🤣
Enjoy your Monday 👋🏻☀️
Getting lost is fun in a way, but nothing major really. Hehe Really thrilled I'm back exploring. Already booked a trip in another province next month, hoping that all will be well. 🥰
It is fun in a way and sometimes you see things you would never have seen if you were not lost 😉
Great news… yes, exploring… I can’t wait. We booked a small trip to Paris in 2 weeks, just a long weekend. Soon we are back traveling again…
Enjoy it! Have a great day 👋🏻☀️
Glad you had a lovely experience... The beach is such a happy place 😍.
I'm more of a mountain person @dimmablogs but couldn't hike for now so yeah, I grateful for whatever I have at the moment, for whatever I'm allowed to experience.
Oh I see... Mountain hikes sounds pretty nice. It's one experience I'd love to explore someday.
Saludos amiga, que rico es pasarlo en un lugar agradable el cual puedes disfrutar con tanto gusto, las fotos son hermosas, buen post.
Appreciate it, thanks for dropping by!
It's obvious from your post that you're happy to be here.
You're lucky to have the sea near you.
I can't complain either as I have the Black Sea about 850km away, which is about 10-12 hours by car.
Maximum fun.
Wow good for you. Hehe going to the beach and resorts are always a great feeling.
Haven't been to the beach yet this year. Ah one day I will be able to, still busy for now.
