Week 178 : Three kids on a weekend...

Happy weekend my dear friends of this community, around here the weather is rainy and invites to stay at home, so this weekend my husband and I will enjoy watching the broadcast of the 2023 Pan American Games on TELEVISION, in the company of some neighbors.

I'm going to dedicate some time to writing a post about what I would do if I had to take care of three children under 10 years old for a weekend 🤣, I loved this topic because it reminded me of my younger years with the care of my children and my nephews.

I'm going to start the topic by saying that I've always adored children and young people, I enjoy them, the guys were looking forward to the weekend to do fun things.
There are always many entertaining and also constructive options to do, the selection depends on the interests of the children who prefer to do and from there because the task of adults is to organize the activity

A very attractive option for my boys was always outdoor activities, they loved going to Lenin Park because there they enjoyed the Amusement Park, played ball or rode a horse, socialized with other children with games or some children's show. I confess that we adults also liked it, we organized a picnic where the older children helped in the preparation, they loved that.

The beach was always a walk that they loved and that luckily we could easily access because Cuba is an island with beautiful beaches.

If like today the weather was rainy and did not allow us to go out we had to organize activities at home.

We planned an afternoon of crafts, with materials such as paper, scissors, glue, colored cardboard and paints they created their own works of art. I like this activity because it helps to develop creativity and motor skills.

They also liked to learn how to cook.so we prepared something simple like cookies or cupcakes, or they helped me in the preparation of dinner, participating in mixing the ingredients until decorating the salad or setting the table so they learned to place the cutlery and glasses.

In case they preferred quieter activities, we organized an afternoon of story reading, selected age-appropriate books, sometimes they made up their own stories.They liked to dress up and do painting competition.

There are a lot of things that can be done with the boys, the important thing is that they feel good, and of course that it helps them in their physical and mental development. It is not good to impose anything on them, just adapt the activities and not lose patience, enjoy the whole process with them.
