RE: Weekend-engagement week 14: Tell me who - [Win hive for your comment + HP delegation opportunity]

@stevenwood, your comment caught me by surprise! I have been disarmed myself, seeing the torrents of kind words and commendation you have been bestowed upon me. Thank you. :)

In my experience, people who share congenial gusto towards any art form, may it be painting, cinema, or literature, find their ways together eventually. I wonder what drives us so, perhaps it is the will to share an experience with others that is so engraved in our nature that we cannot help it. You and I may not have interacted but though our passion for literature, I feel an affinity towards you.

Looking forward to talking to you more in the coming days. Stay safe. :)

This is a good sign, this means you have been creating and blogging, without looking for praise or to see who was looking, I hope this makes sense to you lol.

You have come such a very long way in such a very short time of the blockchain. Eventually, high quality content will be found, appreciated and rewarded. I don't just mean financial rewards, rewards come in so many different forms on the blockchain.

I read about 75-100 books a year now. This wasn’t always so. For a long time (2010-2017) I haven’t read anything. You can very well guess the culprit coughinternetcough that kept me away from it. Fortunately, I found my way through with a little bit of persistence.

Respect man! So much of who I am today is because of the books I read, so much of my writing is influenced by people who write with humour, fun, sensitivity, wonder and passion. It's sad how few people actually read nowadays.

You and I may not have interacted but though our passion for literature, I feel an affinity towards you.

Yup let's give that affinity a name Brother, let's call it the beginnings of friendship. I am incredibly happy to meet you Pronoy. I look forward to sharing the journey and the adventure with you, may it play out like an epic adventure novel.

I noticed a little insecurity in your intro post, I hope you are getting beyond that now, you have an extremely bright future ahead of you here my friend :D

Hey, pardon me for the late reply. Had a crazy week. Also, my best pals' mother died. Went to put her to the ground with all the local burial rituals.

I hope this makes sense to you lol.

It really does. I had only a few engagements in my posts but I know some will read and most importantly, I'm also writing for myself. That is perhaps the most important thing that drove me out of Facebook.

I like the rewards, all kinds of them. Not gonna deny that! :)

I'm influenced by the people I read as well and looking back, I wouldn't have it any other way. The people no longer read are in the majority and its a sad thing. It's their loss. However, I heard there is a spike in readers' numbers recently and younger people are taking up books in their hands. I don't know whether they read or just photoshoot the books for Instagram, since that spike is from the sales chart I believe, but generally, it can be a good sign.

let's call it the beginnings of friendship

I will drink to that. Oh, all my friends and family members call me by my nickname which is Amor, you're welcome to it as well. :)

I don't have that insecurity about hive anymore, I think. I got the hang of it mostly.
Thank you for all the encouragement! It's been a pleasure knowing you.
