Happy birthday to me
They say people born in July are wonderful. We turn to be kind hearted and and loving. I was born on the last day of July that is July 31, that makes me July baby last. According to zodiac signs I’m a Leo ♌️ . Leo is the fifth sign of the zodiac (July 22 to August 23) and it’s represented by the lion. Actually when my birthday was approaching, I wasn’t feeling the energy to celebrate, usually that’s what happens every year. I thought it was going to turn out like every year, I hardly celebrate my birthday. I usually stay indoors all day on my birthday the previous years, like nobody will know it’s my birthday except those close to me. But this time around, everything changed.

So it all started when I went home to see a doctor, because I wasn’t feeling well. I traveled from Navrongo (school campus) to Tamale(my home). You might say I could get a doctor in Navrongo, but I went to Tamale because, I fell ill some weeks ago so I was told by the doctor to come back and see him in case I experienced same symptoms again

I left Navrongo on Friday because I didn’t have a class that day. On my way I had the chance to eat a very sweet fruit called the shea nut fruit. It is from this fruit that they make shea butter from. I enjoyed it so much because that was my first time eating it this season. It’s usually available during the rainy season.

I arrived in the Tamale in the evening. I showered and went straight to sleep because I was very tired. The next day which was Saturday,I went to see the doctor and he prescribed another drugs for me. I came home, took the drugs after I ate and went to sleep. I woke up in the evening, ate and went back to sleep. The next day, I was feeling better than before.

Sunday July 31, which was on my birthday, I woke up to tons of messages from some of my close friends wishing me a happy birthday and all. But I had to go back to campus on that day because I had an early morning class the next day, Monday.But one of my friends took me out to celebrate my birthday day, it wasn’t anything big. We just went to a restaurant and had a small celebration. I ordered banku with tilapia, who eats banku on their birthday, meee 😅. And ordered ice cream cake as my dessert, my friend also ordered for Ghanaian salad and a banana smoothie. We went there around 11 in the morning and spent like an hour. This was one of the best weekend I had in a long time.

I went home and prepared for school. I left Tamale around 2pm and arrived in Navrongo around 6pm in the evening. And I went straight to sleep so that I can wake up early for my early morning class.
I’m so happy I went home to celebrate my birthday and I thank everyone for celebrating with me.
