After a whole day of waiting, the new topics for the Weekend Experience Community have finally arrived. I shared this post and copied the URL Link to the Borneo Hive WhatsApp group and hope that other members can join in. Thank you to admin @galenkp for being consistent every Friday for this contest.
I want to write about each topic this time because they are all so fascinating. But in the end, I settled on "Personality," and I will define what it means to me and how it fits me and my life.
To me, personality refers to your overall character:
- how you act,
- how you dress,
- how you speak with gestures,
- how you are perceived in society,
- your facial expressions,
- your mood and your nature.
It entails an individual's total development, which is distinctive and intriguing. Personality is more than just a charming face; it can also be an inside talent or trait.
I used to be a stage singer for nearly 20 years of my life, and I had my own distinct personality and style. Even my work or personal attire differs from the others co-workers or my friends. Unless we are required to use the same colour and theme while onstage.
If you look at my hair before, I took great care of my appearance and how I dressed up. My favourite singer, P!nk, is an icon, and I look up to her. I just loved her personality, how she appeared onstage, and how she dressed up. I love the tomboyish but feminine style, just like Gwen Stefani.
People who just know me will describe me as harsh and tomboyish. However, that is my personality. I'm not a sweet woman; instead, I like to be humble and friendly to those around me. I can get along with anyone of any gender, age, or background. That is why my friends are not only in the music industry, but also in other industries.
I love making friends, and as I used to travel around Malaysia during my work days, I gained more experience and friends that loved my personality. They admit it to me, and I am not bragging about it, but that is just the old me. After 2021, when I was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and Panic Disorder, everything changed.
My personality used to be upbeat and sociable, but my havoc personality has evolved. All of the changes have it reason's. So I must encourage everyone here to choose carefully who they want to spend their lives with, because they will damage you and slowly you won't know how they actually can change you.
You must be aware that personality consists of inside thoughts and values derived from observable behaviours and outside of observable behaviours. Personality is both inherited and influenced by one's surroundings.
My personality changed, and everything turned 360 degrees. That is why I am hoping that this writing of mine will return me to my former self. I used to be the one who was brave enough to face anything; I speak up for myself, and I am very firm in my decisions. Even my friends, who used to envy my style and personality, know I have changed a lot. I guess our personalities can change if we are mentally unstable.
Personality is often defined as the distinctive patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviours that distinguish one individual from another. In other words, it is what defines ME!
We do need to be careful who let into our lives as their ways can change our personality if we let them.
I am sorry you had a disorder and hope you get back to your happy, fun, brave self again. I am rooting for you Sis. Thanks for sharing.
And, you look absolutely stunning in your pictures.
