It's Friday and in my book it's the weekend and any book that says it's not can be tossed into the fire. 😀 Besides it look like this weekend is going to be not much going on other than maybe going to the park and the art store.
There's no better way to end the weekend and start the weekend than by a bonfire. Sure beer and or wine would have been good, great even, but we keep this one booze-free. My son was out with us and I don't like to drink in front of him. I suppose I could run to the liquor store for after he falls asleep (it's only a half-block away) guess I will decide later.
It's nice to finally be able to use the brick patio now that it is finished and the weather is not overly hot out. I still need to brush some sand in between the bricks here and there but other than that it's all good. I hung an old Halloween decoration on the side of the shed as a decoration.
Pot line the back corner of the patio. Mostly Peppers and cherry tomatoes, I had chives and basil but those have been used for the summer.
I love the spicy peppers and usually dry them out so I can use them all winter long.
And more fire!
We are headed out camping next weekend so that should make for a better Engage the weekend post. Two days and nights with no TV, Video games, or Computers 😌
Have a great weekend all.

I think theres something every guy loves about fire pits outside on the patio. Theres something soothing about it. The only thing that can match it is a woodfire or charcoal grill and slow cooking meat. A good book and an eskie with something refreshing in it and im good to go.
Nice hot peppers btw. I just harvested a couple dark red jalepenos this morning. That's going in my next guacamole!
Guacamole sounds great. I might have to make a batch too.
I love cooking by fire but I stick to the veggies, no meat for this guy.
Hey grilled veggies are awesome too. You can slow cook stuffed peppers all sorts of yummy stuff.
Yeah im in a guacamole mood right now. Hmmm. Need to think about lunch soon....
Fire...Enough said!
I love fire and there's few better places than sitting around one relaxing, chatting or poking it with a stick!
We camp a lot and fire forms a central point for the evenings...The snap and crackle, the smoky smell and the way the flames shift and move...Then when it dies down we sit back and watch the stars. So good.
Like you we have a fire pit in our back yard and when we can't be out camping we light it and enjoy the same feelings, although the stars aren't as splendid in the city, too much light.
I'm looking forward to your camping post! Have a great weekend and thanks for using the weekend community.
