Happiness has short hair 😜

in Weekend Experiences β€’ yesterday (edited)

After a little more than a month without posting I am happy to do so in this community, thanks to the always varied and interesting topics proposed by Galen.

Sometimes reality becomes a little denser than usual and time seems to get shorter. The routine and monotony of work crushes creativity and drains all energy, so I am grateful to have found inspiration in this initiative and I share with you a picture of my childhood and some considerations.

I was a happy child, there were moments that I remember with clarity and others are like the negative of an old movie damaged by the passage of time.

When I was only 5 years old my parents separated and from living in the capital of the country I went with my mom to live with my maternal grandparents in the countryside. At first it was a bit difficult. I arrived in the middle of the school year and I remember clearly when I entered my new classroom. I was wearing pigtails with ridiculously large red bows and everyone looked at me like I was a weirdo 🀣. One girl (with equally ridiculous bows πŸ˜†) offered me to sit next to her...we are still friends πŸ₯°.

Thus began my school life in a school with teachers I respect and love, even after so many years and who love me equally. I met my first friends there and we are still friends to this day.

The town where I grew up is small with an exuberant nature, I spent my childhood days in direct contact with it. I walked free, without danger or fear. I bathed in the rivers and creeks of the area with my friends. We would go camping with our teachers in the pine-covered mountains. We enjoyed these outdoor activities, they were our daily routine.

At home, as in many others, there was no electricity, but it wasn't necessary...at least for us little ones. There were many ways to have fun and spend time.

I loved the weekends when they would set up the circus tent at the baseball stadium...it was quite the event!!!! Or the nights when the mobile cinema would come with Chaplin or Laurel and Hardy movies. A car with a loudspeaker would drive around town announcing the time and the movie that would be shown. Several hours before it started, an army of us kids were tangled in the cables and scaffolding of the white screen. The people in charge of the projector scolded us because we did not let them work 🀭. That was MAGIC and as such I treasure it in my memory.

From those years I remember with much displeasure when my mom combed my hair to go to school. She would gather my hair in pigtails with very tight braids (so I wouldn't get lice πŸ˜† ). I think that traumatized me...I can't stand anything that tightens my head. I disliked it so much that one day I went to the only hairdresser in town and told her that my mom had sent me to get my hair cut around my shoulders and with bangs. The fearful woman asked me several times to which I must have answered very confidently because I got her to do it,...I was 9 years old πŸ€ͺ. When I got home I received a tremendous scolding, but since then I have never had long hair again....objective achieved!!!!. Happiness, from that day on, was complete!!!! 🀣

You still have that cute little face from childhood. You are such a sweetheart. A very nice story, happiness is always where you want it to be. I'm sure you still miss those places and your games. We love you @nanixxx and I.πŸ₯°β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ

Hi Mamani!!! Thanks for that love πŸ₯°. Well the little face is not so pretty anymore πŸ˜†. Yes, I miss those years, they were good times. A hug full of love and good vibes in this end of the year and may the new year bring us smiles...we need them.

How nostalgic those times were, they were very healthy and fun, people were much better than now....

I remembered once in my cast they brought that cinema to show a movie on the side of a building, I don't remember which one it was but we had a great time...πŸ˜†

And you were such a risky girl when you decided to tease your mom's tight braids...πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Memories and memories....

🌻🌻🌻

I think we were different...it was a different time. Things have changed, people have changed, unfortunately I don't think for the better.

And you so risky when you decided to make fun of your mom's tight braids...πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

Very risky!!! Me dieron unas buenas nalgadas ese día.....but it didn't even hurt 🀣. Un abrazo.

You don't come around much but it's nice to see your posts when you do.

Thanks.

You don't come around much..

I've really been a bit absent.

Hahahahaha... I imagined you β€˜mataperreando’ on those dusty country roads, in the river (how cool) and enjoying the mobile cinema, also doing tricks. Oli is just like you! You are identical in that photo.

"Mataperreando"...When I was little I was just that....una mataperra jajajajajajaja

No flowers on your dress? ;D

You didn't change anything, as far as I know you from the photos from Hive. Well, just with a short hair now :)

It was the opposite with me. I had shorter hair when I was a child, but I wanted to grow long hair when I got into my teenage days. Since then it has been my hair "style" haha (style without style as it is always almost the same straight hair with slight variations in the length and shape πŸ˜‚)

I didn't find any pictures where I had flowers on my clothes πŸ˜”πŸ˜†.

I don't have many photos from when I was little, at that time there was only one photographer in my village and very few people could afford the "luxury" of having a camera....how things have changed...fortunately

Muchas gracias por tus deseos, yo os deseo tambiΓ©n una navidad feliz y llena de amor. πŸ€—

Beautiful girl and beautiful woman now! I think we all went through the hair issue and the tightening of our hair, only I had my hair down to my waist until I was 15... then I started to cut it a bit, now it's a bit longer than my shoulders... I love the story of the countryside! Thank you so much!πŸ˜ƒ

Thanks Amonet πŸ₯°. Hair length is a topic with many edges πŸ˜†. Everyone cuts the hair of their happiness as they like 🀣. Merry Christmas and many good things for 2025. A hug πŸ€—
