Hiking and tent weekend ⛺

"Look deeply into nature and then you will understand everything better."

Albert Einstein

This weekend was very cold and also very busy for us, because we went camping!!!! 💃 ⛺ 🌟

I really wanted to live this experience, it was the first time I stayed in a tent, it was only one night but it was a great adventure with challenging things and very good things, also a little bit of disappointment.

We are in the firefly mating season and many ecotourism centers offer this spectacle as a lure for nature lovers.

Centro Ecoturístico El Bathá, (I put their Facebook page because I did not find any website, they only have social networks) was our destination this weekend. The center offered a 2-hour hiking experience and at the end to witness the spectacle of the firefly sighting in a sparsely wooded area but surrounded by bushes, they also offered tent rental and the possibility that those who had a tent could take it with them, There are also cabins for those less daring.

Well, here I will tell you about my experience. What I liked most about this trip is that I could finally sleep in a tent, I wanted to do it since I was a child but I didn't have adventurous parents and they didn't sow in me an adventurous spirit, I don't want to blame them because they really had another kind of upbringing but that's another story.

The bad thing and what really made me suffer is that I endured a lot of cold!!!! My nephews who have more experience than me in these matters were not well prepared either, besides they lost half of the tent in their last excursion and they only realized it when we were setting it up!

We put a blanket over it but that wasn't enough to stop the inclement cold that was drilling our bones and keeping us awake!!!! 😖

But it wasn't all bad. We were a group of seven people, first, we made a stop in town and arrived at the camp at 6 pm and set up our tents, the tour began at 6:30 with another group that was already in place.

It was a very pleasant walk with a girl who was our guide, she was enlightening us about the species of mushrooms and flowers that we found along the way. We made several stops to drink water and to pick some apples.

At the end of the tour when it was getting dark we stopped at the spot where we were going to see the fireflies, we waited for almost an hour but the fireflies never appeared! I think they went to sleep too early! We were wondering where are they.

I think the maximum number of fireflies we saw was 5, well then came the laughter and the funny comments about the case, the truth was that we had a good time and the fireflies did not want to make their show not lower our expectations of the adventure.

When we returned to the camp we made a bonfire and roasted some sausages to eat with bread and sauce, also some of us roasted the popular marshmallows.

I may not have visited there before but I can relate to that kind of cold that can drill the bones lol

Everything looks beautiful there too. You all sure have fun adventure with nature.

I may have exaggerated a little, but it was pretty cold! 😆

Oh yes, I really enjoy the contact with nature. I think most people love it. Do you enjoy the contact with nature?

LoL... that kind of cold deserves a little bit of exaggeration, don't you think so too?😄

Well, yeah, although I don't often find myself in environments like that or go to one. To me, the only way I contact to nature is to feel the cool breeze that blows my skin, the sun that burns a bit at times,s and the rain 😃

What do you think?

Oh yes, that is good too, but you have to be more adventurous, live a big challenge! and who knows, maybe you will like it and continue practicing it. 😁

I agree but I'm not sure I know where to start from.

The place looks beautiful, and it seems that despite the cold and discomfort, you had a great adventure. Also, you have gained experience, and the next time you go on camping, you'll be more prepared.

It was definitely a great adventure and an enjoyable experience! I'm sure next time I won't be caught off guard!
Thanks for stopping by. Have a nice day! 🤗

Thank you :) You too have a nice day 🤗

Lol the blanket you put was funny. You didn’t really expect that to stop the cold did you?

I think the maximum number of fireflies we saw was 5.

Wait were you supposed to see more? I haven’t seen a firefly in ages down here, I’d say you were lucky to see not just one but 5?

I didn’t expect that but it was my hope! 😂

Of course I expect to see a lot firefly. That's what we were promised. 🤨😄

Well, in the end that wasn’t the most fun.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a nice day! 🤗

I didn’t expect that but it was my hope!

Sorry your hope didn’t do the job😂 Maybe you need a bigger hope next time.😂

very interesting adventure, I also like the natural atmosphere because it can provide relief and inspiration. loving nature is loving the future for the beauty of the earth. very interesting with its plants and fungi.

Nature is an escape from all the stress that the city represents, I love the contact with nature! I'm glad you liked my post and yes, it was an interesting adventure. Have you already lived an experience like this?

I love those photos of mushrooms and flowers, Maria. You always pay attention to the little things! I' sorry for the cold, but now you know better for next time. It looks like a lovely trip to be in contact with nature.

Thank you Gael, When I am in a new place I am attentive to my surroundings, there are always beautiful things to photograph that go unnoticed.
Hope you have a good day. Hugs! 🤗

Camping and hiking is one of the activities that I dream of doing, let alone picking some apples while on walking.

Aww I stole your dream! I hope soon you can do this kind of activity. Where you live there are no mountains or somewhere to hike?

Where you live there are no mountains or somewhere to hike?

Yes, there is no near mountain, I have to drive for about an hour before I get to the nearest mountain.
