The $1000 weekend: A posting contest

Normally not into writing but this seemed interesting.
Well if I get $1000, that's Indian 75,000Rs,
I would spend my weekend like a nomad!

Yeah, would go traveling, meet different people,
try out different cuisines and get a lifetime experience.
I have not travelled in life. Max I have been to Uttar Pradesh and back to Mangalore.
Have always dreamt of traveling but earlier studies wouldn't help
and now work doesn't allow.

With $1000 I wouldn't be able to do an international trip,
but could do a national trip.
So maybe I would take a trip to Ladakh.
Have always heard that the "Land of high passes" is beautiful.
Would love to go there and enjoy the snow.
The temperatures drop as low as 10°c.
The landscapes are amazing, they have trek, frozen rivers and some festivals.

It would be fun to meet strangers,
Indulge in adventures like trekking, rafting etc.
Enjoy local cuisines in the villages on the way to Ladakh,
Learn about the different cultural heritages.

From Delhi to Ladakh there are numerous beautiful places,
It can fill ones soul with delight.
It has a lot to offer to a tourist.
Lake, valley's, mountains, trek is all part of this trip.
And so I want to do this trip!
Also because Ladakh is a land of Buddhism too.

We all need an escape in life and travel is the best way to do so.
It would make life meaningful and add purpose to my life.
Getting knowledge, learning culture, hearing stories and myths is part of it.
Just want to once enjoy the thrill of escaping the daily routine of my work life!

I know I haven't explained the beauty of ladakh on this post.
But that's because I never travelled there.
All my knowledge is just on listening my fiance talk and some from google.
Hopefully someday I actually win $1000 and manage to do this trip.
Would be great to truly experience the beauty and adventure of traveling.
