[WEEK 228] My recurring dream and its meaning

Good morning friends of the weekend experiences community. Another weekend has arrived and @galenkp delights us with a series of topics to write about and you can read them in this post As this time he shuffles options with a common theme I feel that although my favorite topic was the first one, I will also touch a little the last one, this means that I will tell you the last recurring dream I had and the meaning I have been finding to it and to the theme in general.

Although it is not something current, I am not going to contextualize too much: I was living in a nice apartment and everything was going well, but in the dream, I got out of bed and found a secret door in the apartment that led to another part of the house, it was very similar to another apartment I know, and it was uninhabited. It was like a refuge inside the house, there was an armchair, a TV, and two very simple rooms. To get there I went through a dark tunnel, but on the other side there were always lights on.

I remember that my feelings were clear, why didn't they tell me that this part existed?
And I immediately thought, will they know that this exists? I was hoping that no one would find out and I could continue to be there, especially that they would not charge me more rent for having these benefits haha. In fact, you got here through a door that was in the “ugliest” part of the apartment, or at least the least used, the entrance was small, everything looked like a confusion. The first few times I was there I felt like an occupant of space.

I woke up with a lot of peace from that dream, maybe because I was not having a very good time in reality and the meaning I found was that, I was looking for a quiet place to be with me and in peace. That 'second house' inside my home had simple things, but the necessary things to live there. A cupboard with some food and video games too. I stayed there for hours in my sleep. I would even wake up inside the dream, and I had fallen asleep there, and I felt I had to go back to the real house, the one everyone knew about, because otherwise they would wonder where I am and discover this secret place.

It was a dream I had at least once a week, for almost six months, many things happened in that second home... At times I arrived and met people I hadn't seen for a long time, it still meant more peace to me, I felt calm that they could be there and not in the chaotic world. They were sheltered. There was never chaos in that dream, and that is why it always meant to me, a revelation of my search for peace.

Besides, dreaming about houses, windows, specific places that I don't know in real life, is something recurrent in me. That's why I was never surprised. But I woke up feeling strange, on the one hand peace accompanied me and on the other hand, I wanted it to be real, to be able to inhabit the existence in the world calmly. It was something I had to go through, it was not easy.

But I didn't go to bed thinking about that place, or if I would dream about it... it just happened, perhaps on the days when there was more chaos in my reality, I don't remember it so punctually.

To finish, I would like to close by saying that I am not a person who dreams too much, I like to surprise myself with these images, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes I remember them and sometimes not. Sometimes I remember them and sometimes I don't, but I have hardly had nightmares, or dreams that are difficult to digest.

I understand that these are hidden images or desires, part of the unconscious that only show us something that whether we give it meaning or not, it is our own. There is no way to make a global analysis for all of them. Still, the theme being recurrent, I really like to dream of unknown places and explore my emotions in them. I wish you all a great weekend!!!

Thanks for reading me, Kiki✨

It's great to meet you again, and even more with this wonderful way of participating in the weekend's topics, as a story, you are excellent. What I have loved most about this post are your pictures, in fact the one that impressed me the most was the first one, I have never tried to photograph a flame before. Thanks for this, I had a great time reading it.

I'm glad you liked it, I chose the pictures that made me feel like in a dream, the flame of fire is something I'm interested in capturing every time, it mutates in a way that I always get something striking and I enjoy it very much.
