Happy Eid Mubarak to my Muslim friends and all my friends in general. As my people do say, whoever lives to witness any celebration is a partaker.

So this weekend happens to be the day for the annual celebration of the sacrifice and devotion of Prophet Ibrahim (or Abraham), who offered to use his son as a sacrifice to Allah. But Allah, seeing his level of devotion, provided a ram for the sacrifice in place of his Son.

Muslims worldwide celebrate this act of service annually by killing rams, feasting and celebrating with their relatives. So believe me when I say it's a feast of meat, meat and more meat😋. Non-muslims like me are not left out in the celebration, we visit our friends houses and take part in the feast.

One of my friends came to pick me at home around 1pm, it was raining heavily. We had plans to visit two of my Muslim friends (Ibrahim and Fuoad). We got to Fouad's place and we were informed that only rice was available, well, we took it anyway, even though our intention was to take swallow.
We went to next location to meet our other guys, 7 others, at Ibrahim's place. We were told food wasn't ready yet, so we waited and chatted away. After waiting for a while, we decided to go back to the first location so the other guys will eat rice too.

When we got there, semo was ready. So we all opted for semo with vegetables(don't forget, I like food)😋. We brought out the drinks 🍾🥂we bought the previous day and started wining and dining. We spent about 5 hours eating, drinking, gisting and playing.😜

We ate different varieties of food ranging from semo, fried rice, jollof rice and we rounded up with beef pepper soup.
You know that kind of feeling and vibes that flows when you link up with your secondary school friends that you haven't seen in a years. It felt more like a reunion party than Eid celebration.💃🕺

By the time we stood up to leave, it was few minutes to 7pm. We left for Ibrahim's place(we haven't taken anything there yet) but to be honest, we were full🤗. We got there and told them we couldn't eat anything anymore. So meat and drinks were just packaged for us to take home. We departed around 7:47pm at night and my friend drove me back and dropped me somewhere close to my home. By the time I got home, mehn, I was so full and tired, I just greeted my parents, took my bath and retired to bed. I'm typing this on my bed, ready to sleep.😴

Today is a day to remember really, I had so much fun with my friends and I hope this happens often.
