Sun, Sand and Smiles: Our moments in Wiggy’s Beach Resort

"We're all so stressed with life, that's why we really need to go to the beach" Let's go!!!!

Olah hivers! It’s me again @justcallmepia Happy Sunday to all 🩷 I’m happy to share what happened in my life yesterday as we shared love, laughs and friendship. It was the birthday of the wife of my partner's workmate, so they decided to go to the beach since they were also stressed with their lives because they just keep working but have no savings (lol) just kidding. So they invited us to go to the beach and they would take care of the costs, all they wanted from us was our presence hehe so I was very happy and excited because when it comes to going out, I'm always quick to respond hehehe

They decided that we would go to Wiggy’s Beach Resort located in Jubay, Liloan Cebu. At first, I wondered why we were going to Wiggy’s in Liloan when Liloan had just been hit by a typhoon, it might be dirty or something. But since my partner's colleagues really wanted to go there because it was affordable and perfect for unwinding and the place was quiet, plus you can do whatever you want because it's a public beach.

So here we go! We left the house at 9am so we would have more time at the beach and we would have lunch there. I was very happy that for the first time, I was able to bond with my partner's workmates because their work as call center agents is very stressful, it's not easy to work at night every day so they make time for themselves to ease their exhaustion from work.

We arrived at the resort by 10:46am since it's close to our house in Consolacion, but we experienced heavy traffic in the town of Liloan. The folks were very excited to swim. Their entrance fee is very affordable at only 25 pesos, then there's a separate fee for the tables and chairs, and they also have a swimming pool but it has a different fee even though it's in the same venue, but the 25 pesos is just for the beach entrance. So we didn't go to the pool, we just stayed at the beach since we weren't really focused on the view etc, the most important thing was bonding with each other.

I was so happy that I met my partner's colleagues and their partners also. The folks were chatting so much even though it was only the first time we met and bonded, but the laughter was great as we ate our different kinds of packed lunches, and the boys were also drinking and chatting a lot. I'm very happy that I've gained more friends. I can really see that my partner was also very happy with their bonding yesterday because I don't really ask for anything from him except for him to be happy with his life and enjoy it. I always support him as long as he's doing the right thing.

As we moved forward, it’s late afternoon and after all the chatting, we decided to take pictures to create memories for everyone. I really like taking pictures so I took pictures of everything in the resort, even the animals. There were dogs, pigeons and I really like capturing things like that so I didn't miss it. The dogs there were also very well-behaved, they were affectionate and if you didn't give them food, they would just behave.

There were different kinds of food being sold there like kabkab (Filipino food made from cassava coated with coconut caramel or latik) and mangoes with bagoong and many more. Our bonding was very happy yesterday even though the beach is not white sand but it was still full of happiness because we rarely get to bond. What's also nice about the resort is there's no corkage, you can grill, bring lots of drinks, even if it's a lot, it's okay with the management, they just let you make noise and have fun.

I will show you what really captures my heart, it shows how amazing my photography was. I captured the dog sitting on the sand watching the waves of the sea and it just so happened that there were pigeons flying by. I was so amazed because I can see that the dogs are like humans too, they have feelings, they can be sad nor happy and that’s why they called A man’s best friend because they can comfort you whenever you’re sad and makes you happy either because they are so real 🥹

That was a great experience for me yesterday and for everyone too. Even though we are very busy with our lives, we should not forget to take time for ourselves. We deserve a break, a beach break or whatever that can give you happiness in yourself even in the simple things you do. It feels so good to enjoy every moment because life is too short, we only live once! Life is precious, we must cherish it!
Yesterday’s bond really gave us happiness and made our stressful lives feel alive. Hoping and manifesting for the next bond 🩷🩷
