Catch-Up with My College Best Friend @creativitine Feat. CUTE (kawaii) Earrings!!

Hello, all! How was your weekend? I wish you are well today. For this post I'll be sharing, with much excitement, #lifeupdate of the past weekend I have had! I met with my best friend and gorgeous local business owner of Bloom Cebu's fabulous earrings - @creativitine 😍! Yep - she just joined Hive as well, and she's about to publish her Introduction post, so please stay tuned on that one.

As I mentioned earlier, Tine sells the cutest sets of pairs of fashion earrings I have held my eyes on (if this post isn't enough proof I don't know what is)! We met in a hotel lobby where we dined and enjoyed our conversation. I love being with her because we're like our carefree college selves - laughing at the silliness of our jokes and of life, every other minute or so haha. It's great that we get to catch up with the recent goings-on with our adult lives - discussing challenges that seem to discourage us and celebrating small wins. Speaking of small wins, we got to go the "extra mile" as we ordered a cutesy blackforest cake, just because. For me, it's a win to be able to enjoy this moment, I shared it to Tine, and she agreed. We looked back and had small smiles - we used to not afford going out and eating in hotel restaurants when we were in college. We couldn't afford to have coffees beyond the 3-in-1s in local stores. "Look how far we've come through", I whispered more than I said it. This - it is a great feeling: the sense of accomplishment and joy. 😊

PS, Where we dined - they served really tasty & affordable food!!

Let's circle back to the lovely earrings though: I ordered six pairs! Each posh pair is just at PHP 100 so it's cheap, considering these are cutie designs (omg). My order came in a minimalist box. When I held it open, there were small hearts and confetti all over the earrings - I LOVE IT! Each pair was inside small pouches and I truly enjoyed the process of opening one after the other. 😅 As soon as I opened them all, I quickly took photos! Honestly, these pairs are better than what I had expected - quality-wise. 💖

I like to call these "Peek-a-boo Cup Kittens"! I'll wear these on casual weekday work ootds.

This pair is quite exquisite: A bird with a cage. Being that the cage is empty this means freedom. (I love symbolisms!!) I'd like to wear these on special days whenever I feel like I wanna take on the day~!

As a sincere coffee lover, I knew I had to have this pair! Perfect for my cafe dates - yay! These would then be called "cafe cup pair" haha.

I have always wanted these cuties since my sister got 'em. I'm glad that Tine restocked on these and I was finally able to have a pair.

These FREEBIES are a bomb! Yay - I got too excited to try them on as they're the fanciest freebie everrrr.

This pair is my FAVOURITE of these new earrings I bought. The design, the colour and the whole vibe of this pair are what make 'em lovable to me.

This cheery meeting has been threefold: Getting my purchase, Introducing Hive to Tine, and hanging out like the good ol' college days. One of the things I've realized is that perspective truly does changes things. For instance, Tine and I do not "feel old" now that we are in our late twenties. But when we were nineteen and about to graduate college, we all thought those people who are in their late twenties are "old". Honestly we both feel like we're still young, fresh out of college - with the whole world at our disposal, ready to be conquered. Now I get it - it's true when they say "people see what they want to see". We all have the capacity to choose how we see things and how we interact. Hmmn.

I am so grateful - I feel good about being able to have this coffee date with my best friend. It has been eleven/twelve years that we have been friends, and I'm so thankful that even though we don't see each other that much - especially after college graduation - but when we do catch up, we are there where we left off, as if distance and time didn't matter. I love how we get each other's jokes and we laugh like there's no tomorrow. I love Tine. I am blessed to have a friend - nope; I have a sister in my best friend. My heart is filled with joy. 💛

Anyhoo, I also feel good to have these cutie earrings as well! They sure spice up my daily office OOTDs!! 💖
