I have been drunk like twice in my life, not because i really wanted to drink but because i wanted to impress my friends, Like you said i also agree with you, that drink is not for the young nor grown up, My two experience have really given me lessons to learn, and with that i have decided that drink is not for the right minded persons, this is my personal opinion, On my first drinking experience, if not that God showed up for me by bringing a good friend my way, i dont know what should have become of me.
I was with a new set of friends, in a very new environment, we were trying to familiarize and it was a time to merry, it was not even beer, but spirit. it was mixed with liquid milk, trust me it was good , but unknown to me how it will be , so i enjoyed myself and was competing with the guys, I was almost being taken in a wheel , to my house, and abandoned there, i was there misbehaving for hours, until my friend came to my rescue.
After that experience i decided that i will not be friends with drink. for me drinks are for heavy hearted, to help them forget some of their sorrows.
Sometimes it's takes an experience like this to show a person what they shouldn't do, or what they don't want to do. Being drunk is a loss of control and when that happens, well, anything can happen without a person willfully wishing it to. I'm not one to like being in that condition and clearly, neither are you.
