WE240 || It was such a simple weekend, Galen ...

Just to be happy in everyday life. In love. In the willingness to give time.

To do what you never do just to pamper yourself and to pamper my husband who is still recovering from the triple coronary aorto bypass.

I love being willing to change even if I'm 65 and older. To put down ultracious attitudes. Eliminate overwhelming manias. But I especially love to let my life be driven by feelings.

To see the joy of my husband in his eyes, to be alive and kneading a bread flour, so that last weekend I made him some stuffed arepas like he and I like. I don't have any photos from that last weekend of the arepas, so I made them on Friday, so you can see how nutritious and delicious they are. By the way, my husband calls this arepa the Curvy Queen, I mean "I" me.

We went to the beach...

That weekend we just opened the new year with the willingness to continue growing in the time of life that we have left here on earth, treasure, enjoy every moment that fills us with positive energy.

It was the first time this year 2025 that I spent a whole day lying in front of the sea working on my essay of the book I'm writing. I'll tell you about it later, Galen, in another post.

I was unaware of the silence and peace of my refuge those three days. In the delicious comfort of the sofa where I was lying with my husband next to me. The perfect sunlight that peeked through my back and illuminated my computer keyboard with caution, while its warmth massaged my neurons to create stories.

For me, writing is a job that I do every day. And that weekend I remembered it while I was squeezing the muse to tell more stories in my essay.

There were no pretensions, no extraordinary luxuries, of course I would not like to do without the air conditioning the temperature is important to fall asleep, the fridge because the issue of preserving food and making the best use of time not having to do daily shopping and hot water because taking contrast baths for me is a relaxing pleasure...I would even put it above the smart phone because the latter is already a basic need for communication and information....but I would be able to do without it.

I loved simplicity during this weekend because I like it when I'm in front of the sea. I tell you Galen, I didn't even keep an eye on the clock, because the time in front of the sea is an entelechy. The sun was the one who told me how long I was writing with the muse active.

Then I watched the movie out the window with the fishermen of the area where we were, in their work. I worked all day and when the sun went down, I had to turn on the light in the place. I'm always happy here, it's such an inspiration.
