My Birthday and New Year's Celebration (Dec. 31, 2022)

Happy New Year everyone!
Wishing you all to have a blissful and prosperous year.

On December 31, 2022, I turned 23 years old.
The celebration this year is very different from others I've had in the past.
We are not complete, which is one of the reasons.
My aunts, uncles, and cousins are always present during family celebrations because we are an extended type of family. It's always fun and chaotic.
But this time, we welcomed the new year in our individual homes.

Another reason is my cousin who is the same birthday as I passed away last September 2022. Every birthday we celebrate together. It's not easy for our family to accept what happened to him. And it's still fresh since it is just three months had passed. I am not totally okay because it is my first birthday and new year without him.

Since it is just my family, we didn't prepare much food.

We also engage our nephews in fun games

I am thankful that despite the problems that we faced in 2022 we still feel blessed and happy.

And I hope and wish that this year will be full of joy and opportunities for me and for my family.
