[WE98] Weekend-Engagement Friday favorite moment with nature.

Hello, The weekend community greetings🙏 here is my first post in this community writing about my favorite moment with nature.

Born in India, a man dominated society most of my adventures were discouraged and suppressed. A girl had certain limits. I grew up in that society. but my education and work helped make me self-dependent. I gradually achieved my freedom.

I even decided to marry with totally different cultured, unknown foreigner and start a new journey in life. I am very proud of my husband, He is very kind and caring and a lovely supporting partner/friend. He always helps make my life happier and more successful, than I thought was possible. He encourages me all the time for new adventures. Living in Norway now, the land of the Vikings is an adventure. The nature here is also suitable for so many different outdoor activities.

One summer we traveled to north Norway to visit some friends and enjoy the midnight sun. the mountains, sea, different beaches, waterfalls, as well as nice old historical towns and places. After reaching Lofoten, I was overwhelmed by all the incredible nature and the sunsets cum sunrises! Our friends are also very fond of nature and they wanted to show us many even more beautiful and spectacular places. The next day a decision was taken to climb three mountains. it was quite a shock for me- three mountains. I had tried a couple of mountains not so far from where we live but bad weather made for bad experiences.

Here in Lofoten the mountains are so steep it seems impossible to climb them. But the weather was great and the first one was close by and not so high so I managed without much trouble. There was a great view and it was all so exhilarating, so I was ready for more We decided to try a tougher one the next day. though I was emboldened I didn't realize what I was getting myself into. My husband and my friends supported me and assured me that I could manage. Early next morning we set out and parked our car by the seashore. Luckily, the weather was good. I was happy not needing lots of heavy clothes. As we started I was very excited, energetic, and curious but by the time we reached halfway I was becoming exhausted. My husband encouraged me to continue but at a slower pace, taking short breaks. Eventually, by 3/4 distance the view had become so fantastic that I started getting back my energy. With new inspiration I increased my speed and finally, we reached the top of the mountain called Nipen near Henningsvaer. I felt like I was a bird that had flown far up in the sky. The energy of the five elements, earth, water, fire, air and space filled my body as I proudly stood with my open arms. it was an unforgettable moment.

that experience lives in me still to this day. Thank you.

That is a nice experience. It is so invigorating being out in the mountains and experiencing nature in that way. Nice to hear you made that adventure!

Thanks🙏 now I do it often at least once a year climbing one mountain, but that was the best unforgetful moment in my life.
