Family weekend, Day for a walk, to the farm.

Hello, a very good day, I wanted a community, this time I want to tell you a little about what it was like to travel for a few days to the family farm and place of work, particularly I had not been able to go for many months, for reasons of study and graduation, but nothing else came up the opportunity, I was excited and we began to plan everything for the trip. I grew up in a family where it is essential to plan and organize everything so that we don't need anything later. The farm is more or less an hour and a half from San Cristóbal, specifically at Kilometer 23 of trunk 5. This was an inheritance from my nonos and since then both my father and one of my uncles have taken care of it and currently it is the family business. They will wonder what the business is based on, and well at the beginning and for many years the main source of income was fattening cattle, then it took a turn and is currently based on dairy cattle, that is, milk production, it was a rather big change since this requires more work and dedication, and even technology since mechanical milking is used. I am pleased and excited to show you a little of what my days were like.

As I mentioned before, the farm is at kilometer 23 of trunk 5, however, you must leave the asphalt road, and follow a stone road for approximately 15 minutes to get to the house, this road crosses other farms, so that it is common to run into cattle and fauna typical of the place.

Upon arriving at the house, after organizing everything we brought, the bad weather astonished us out of nowhere, and it rained for a few hours.

But after the storm the sun rises, just at the time of the second milking of the day, so we get ready for the job. The work starts very early at 4am in the morning where the first milking takes place, it must be at this time because the milkman comes by at approximately 6:30am. We are small producers so time is enough if it starts at that time, in the afternoon it is milked for the second time, and this milk is stored and refrigerated. Until the next day in the morning.

He also took advantage of administering some vaccines that were pending.

On the other hand, and outside of work, it is a beautiful place, the weather is warm, however, at sunset it starts to get cold and at night it reaches temperatures of 18-17⁰C since it is part of San Cristóbal, more than Barinas, and its weather favors it.

Personally, I love coming here, being in this place is disconnecting from all the stress of the city and everything from everyday life. Despite being part of the Venezuelan plains, it has a pleasant climate, they were days to share with the family, I love everything that the Venezuelan plains offer us, I love their nature riding a horse, disconnecting with everything that weighs us down, and recharging ourselves of new energy.

Thank you for visiting, reading and commenting
