Studying and working [part-time or full-time] during weekdays were proven to be toxicating and has the capabilities to drain an individual's physical, mental and emotional energy.
After spending such a very exhausting days during weekdays, people have only one ultimate craving waiting to be satisfied and it's none other than to "relax."
According to this Anonymous quoter:
" ... Weekend is the best time to ease yourself over the week's stress and enjoy everything around."
However, not everyone can relax knowing that they must work in order to feed themselves and their families. Also, relaxing is not applicable at all times. There are instances when we are still obligated to work something, outside and inside of our adobes. May it be work-related, pending academic requirements, business and such.
If you are someone who can relax anytime, then go and grab the chance to do so. Feed yourself with relaxation and save a lot of energy for the next day's errands and tasks!
In this blog, let me share the small achievements and progress attained this Sunday.
Since Wednesday (01.18.2023), I've been attending meetings and doing bunch of paperworks related to academics and events for our college-based organization.
Several changes were incurred in my thesis.
From "mapping incidence of fungal diseases in plants" to "seed health assessment" to "use of nano-silica as a seed primer against seed-borne pathogens."
A new thesis study means writing up a new thesis outline and undergo another departmentalized presentation.
Imagine the stress brought by knowing "I am back to square one"? That's so stressful! Actually, I am feeling the lack of interest to continue knowing that my efforts and money in pursuing my first thesis study will be kept in the closet.
But for the sake of my dreams and goals? And, to have a more brighter future? I will always choose to get up and continue! No one and nothing can turn me down.
Starting by Wednesday night, I immediately begin to draft another thesis outline regarding to "Seed Health Assessment of seed-borne pathogens in rice."
A day after, we are informed of another changes in the studies. My chosen study [stated above] were given to another student and I was transferred to other student's study about nanotechnology.
Since my mind can fastly understanding anything about experimental studies, I took it and instantly begin the paperwork. By Sunday morning, I already finished the whole draft of "Introduction" and a portion in "Review of Related Literature":
To cheer myself out after 2-days of minding a complicated study and its associated paperwork, I've decided to treat myself with foods prepared at home.
Around eight o'clock in the morning, I travelled to the town proper to buy the needed ingredients for our lunch and afternoon snacks. First stop, to the nearby ATM:
After withdrawing the budget for it, I then walked to the public market and bought chicken and other necessary ingredients:
As I got home, I do not instantly get back in front of my laptop. I've decided to spend half of the day to relax and sort out some things about our upcoming small business.
While frying the chicken and preparing the gravy, I am talking to a legit supplier about our orders. After almost an hour, our lunch for the day is all set:
The spicy gravy tastes so good that I had consumed four cups of rice. And here is our afternoon snack, fishball paired with hot and spicy sauce:
While eating this awesome snack, I am settling a transaction to the supplier I found online. Finally! A progress for the business we will establish soon was obtained:
When the night came, I continued writing up my ongoing draft. More than an hour had passed and an estimated 45% progress were garnered in the Review of Related Literature. As the clock ticks to 10PM, I turned off the lights, climbed up the bed and dived in to Dreamland.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
Take this affirmation from Catherine Pulsifer:
" ... Take the time to do what you love to do this weekend."
Whether you like to take a rest and recharge for the coming weekdays? Or to continuously work on to something? Do it! Just make sure you're enjoying despite of how physically and mentally tiring it is. ✨

It has been a while since I ate fishball, with that being said, I am going to buy some tomorrow, cook it and I will be making my own sauce. Nakakamiss din talaga and fishball kabayan. Magandang gabi.
Oh yes, mas sulit talaga, mas mapapasarap mo ang sauce kapag ikaw mismo ang gagawa.
