My Sunday evening "ME TIME"

Have you ever had a 'ME TIME'? A moment just for yourself—no distractions, no companions, just you? I personally think that everyone needs a bit of "me time" now and then, just to think and reflect on life.

Last Sunday, I was invited by my friends to watch and cheer for them as they play basketball, but I wasn’t in the mood for 'peopleing' that evening. I was feeling a little down that day and I didn't have the energy to cheer for them. So after a few minutes inside the gym, I decided to take a walk outside to clear my mind.

As I wandered past the basketball court, I found myself near this wide soccer field. It was peaceful and not as loud as inside the gym, so I sat down for a while to watch some strangers running back and forth. The quiet energy of the players was calming, but after some time, I got bored and decided to go on with my walk.

I eventually reached a nearby mall. Most of the shops were closed for the evening so it was very quite.

I walked inside and stumbled upon this small park, which made me think of my cat, Tofi. I imagined bringing him here and though how much he'd love to explore this place.

Just beyond the park, a cute café caught my eye. It was called Taylor's Play Cafe. That’s when I suddenly realized I hadn’t eaten all day.

I went in and ordered this hazelnut latte and a cheesebread roll to pair with it.

I made myself comfortable and found my seat. In front of me is this cute little play area for kids. I realized where they got the name of the cafe.

The cafe was empty except for me, and the two crews - the barista and the cashier. So I didn't hesitate to take a mirror selfie to capture my lone moment.

There's soft instrumental music playing in the background, so it really felt like a little escape for me.
I stayed for about an hour, enjoying the solitude and my coffee. It was a peaceful evening, and I didn't feel lonely despite being alone. After finishing what I bought, I headed back to the gym, feeling a little lighter.

It was the perfect way to end the day.

All photos are taken by me.
