Wow, that was a crazy story, it reminded me quite a lot of that movie Lemony Snickets and the series of unfortunate events because it seemed your foot getting twisted when you slipped most certainly was that and then swarmed by leeches? At least they don't spread disease, that is one saving grace. You have some serious endurance to go hiking with an injured foot. I'm stoked to climb another mountain as I felt I climb down a different person from when I climb up. It's humbling and emboldening at the same time.
