Sir Richard Burton
Hello, amazing people! How was your weekend? Hope you all have a wonderful weekend with your loved ones and friends. Today, I'm gonna share my wonderful weekend experience in Kinatarkan Island.
I know hopping on an island that I've never been through was a great experience. Especially unplanned trips with friends and families. But while heading to an island I don't have a chance to picture the scenic view of it.
For the moment my buddies said that we'll be going to Kinatarkan on Saturday afternoon. I easily packed in my belongings and expected adventures to take. Saturday morning, We attended mass before heading to Daanbantayan port, and with the use of pump boats, we arrived in the area at exactly 4 in the afternoon.
Pasil Beach was the arrival point on the island where tourists were amazed by its long white sandy shoreline. We headed right away to Kinatarkan SDA Elementary School for some important matters while dressed up in our sabbath dresses. (We don't have enough time to change our outfits) Hehehe. Meeting familiar people, changing words of greetings, chitchatting, cracking up with each other, and taking portraits of their beautiful place are what we all do for the remaining time of the day.
One of our friends offered a guest house for us to stay in at night and food for dinner. Lucky for us that we have friends to adopt us in situations like this.
His family(I'm talking to our friend in Kinatarkan) runs a guesthouse business for tourists on the island. A small bungalow house located nearby the sea. With complete facilities like television, wall fans, kitchen wares, and beds accessible for 10 persons.
Sunday morning, The cold sea breeze of fresh air and the sound of waves arouse us. Daylight shines and the scenic view of an island is calling us.
We decided to have a morning walk on the shoreline of the island and perceive the breeze of fresh air. On our way, We found this Wellness Resort that occurred through the guidance and support of our late Filipina environmentalist, Ms. Gina Lopez. We don't have a chance to enter the resort because it was closed for business at that time. After taking pictures we headed back to our place and have breakfast.
After that,we plan our destination for the day.The first one in our list is the giant clamp cave, Bitoon Beach, and the Lato plantation found in Laaw.
The giant clamp cave was located in Baranggay Langub with an entrance fee of 50 per person. While headed to the owners' house. We're a bit puzzled about where the cave is. Until the owner open the small hut and showed us the manmade tunnel down to the cave.
Dark, tight, rough stairs you encounter while descending. Help of flashlights is needed in there and a partner to hold you if you fall. (Hehehe). As I witnessed the cave, I felt the wonders of God's creation. While going down droplets of water from the upper part make me damp a little. Love to swim but it's too early to get wet. Hehehe.
After that, we have a chance to interview the owner and he said that they found this cave while digging a well beside their house. As he discussed the history of the cave. My friends are busy taking pictures with the giant fossilized clamp.
The owner said that we must try mud clay to apply our skin because it's rich in minerals that make our skin glow. We also try applying it to our faces and skin. After a minute of applying it, I'm a bit relaxed while it tightens my face and skin. We're both laughing at each other's faces after seeing the mud all over our faces. It was a great experience with friends. I almost forgot that this adventure was a welcome treat for us. Through our friend, he takes all our expenses all free. Isn't it amazing?
It's a great exploration inside the cave. Bunch of memories left together with friends.
From the other side of the island, there you see Bitoon Beach. You can buy dried fish as pasalubong there.
With a free pump boat, we arrive safely on the other side of the beach and after seeing the island from afar makes my self restored for a minute. A landscape view of an island and its rock formation makes it beautiful.
We took our lunch on the white shoreline of the beach. And taking portraits of rock formations and the clear water of the sea.
Girls have a chance to lay down on their fined white sand. While boys negotiate our dried fish as pasalubong.
Swimming is what we all do for the rest of the time. Laughing together, eating, and taking portraits as a remembrance of this trip.
It was late in the afternoon and we still have to visit the plantation of Lato. But our friend said that It was already late. So maybe the next visit will do.
We headed back to the mainland and arrive there at exactly 5 in the afternoon. Bringing lots of memories and experiences to be cherished.
A fantastic weekend experience with my friends.Hoping that there will be next and more travels for us.
