With my mom, Lee and Les, my sister in law
We had planned on going for a boat ride in Ayia Napa and had to cancel due to my brother Jack not feeling well. We were all helping with his NFT launch and things just got a lot busier than anticipated.
So, I decided to make a roast at home and invite Jack and Les. They suggested we take the food to their place and cook over there.
I bought two delicious pieces of rump roast and popped them in the oven with roast potatoes (everyone's favourite)
Roast rump with roasted potatoes
Jack was on a business call when we had lunch so we had to put a plate aside for him. He has been working 24/7 so didn't have much of an appetite anyway.
We served beans in a tomato and onion gravy with rosé wine. It was very tasty and we had leftovers the next day - steak sandwiches with guerkins - yum.
My brother Lee, said it was the best roast beef sandwich he had ever had.
Even though our weekend was not what we had anticipated, we still had lovely family time and all probably worked out for the best as on Sunday both Lee and I were packing for the trip to South Africa.
We also went for our covid tests required for the flight.

Everyone enjoyed the food and then I baked a cake for my mom. A favourite recipe that I will share in a future post.
It's been handed down from my grandmother and I hope to hand down to my future children one day.

His enemy metal launch is still underway. So proud of him.
