MY WEEKEND EXPERIENCE AS A SOUND ENGINEER

Hello beautiful and handsome family on Hive. This my first post on this community and I am feeling excited already to be here.

Today, I am going to posting about my weekend experience as a sound engineer. For over a year now, I have been into sound engineering with a lot of good and bad times. I set sound and screen for churches, schools, companies, events etc. But the one I went for the last weekend was heaven on earth (lol)

It was my pastors wedding and I have been chosen and instructed that I will be the one in charge of the event planning relating to music and sound. So, I took the responsibility and did as I was told. I looked for a good music band, brought a good sounding system from my boss because i am yet to buy my own sound system.

Without further ado, we started sound checking with the music band on our mixer BehringerX32. After the whole sound checking, the Talking drummer was complaining that he’s still not enjoying himself with the sound. On hearing this, I got frustrated and told him to just continue playing that I will mix his instrument well along the program.

Everything was going on well not until the generator for the sound died 😢. I was so worried and frustrated 😤 at the same time, because the whole sound system shutdown (who would want this kind of thing to happen on his or her wedding day; no one). But thank God we brought two generators. I immediately jumped out to start the second generator, lo and behold there was no fuel in it, that was when I now remembered “I fked up”**.

As at that period of time I was wearing a white material up and down dress. I didn’t know when I rolled the sleeves up and was turning gas from the first generator to the other one. All of this didn’t take up to 3mins with the way I was rushing. At last we started the generator and we continued the show. After the whole tragedy, frustrating, and worries; I still went ahead to dance, drink, eat and take pictures with my old time friends that where present at the event; because I can’t kill myself.

Excellent experience, it is good to do what we love, with good and bad moments, but enjoy what we do.

I'm glad that despite the adversities, you were able to solve and also have a fun time with your friends. A total success.

It looked like a cool task, operating in the sound system. While I am more in mechanical engineering.

Ohh.
I really respect those in that field. Its not an easy job been a mechanical engineering because my brother is in that field too..
Weldone sir..
Thanks for showing up here..
