Nobody’s perfect, but I’m as near as dammit! Now we’re not talking physical perfection here, as at my age, well, what can I tell you? But in all other aspects, I think I can say I am a fine example to you all.
Thus, it would be quite a task if I were challenged to improve three things about myself. That said, I’ve been increasingly aware that my erudite bons mots and clever literary allusions are falling upon deaf ears. Could it be my humour needs a tweak to make it more accessible? A bit of dumbing down, let’s say? I mean, I’m undoubtedly witty but perhaps too cultured and well-read. A few episodes of The Kardashians or Love Island should do the trick.
I could also be a little less friendly and affable and instead cultivate my inner misanthrope. I’m one of those people who will talk to anyone, anywhere, man, woman, or child.
Unfortunately, this geniality has on several occasions been misinterpreted as a come-on by members of the stronger sex, to wit the local barber I used to chat with each morning as I left for work and the owner of the local newsagent where I went each day to fetch the newspaper for my father. To me, they were just kindly older men until both asked me out and, when I gently declined, accused me of leading them on. Oops!

Finally, I would work on my humility. I’m far too humble and self-effacing. I rarely, if ever, trumpet my multifarious achievements, such as my 3 medals in the mini-olympics in 1971. And though I could regale you with the numerous examples of my kindness and generosity, my loyalty, and my bravery, such as... Well, I’m too 'umble, and besides, I’ve told you about them many times before.

Did you get on particularly well with men as a young woman or did you learn how to wrap a man around your finger? Which isn't really difficult, only for those who have never been able to do it. LoL - in other words: old strategies that were successful are hard to discard, especially if you were successful with them.
Polishing your vanity a little and being charming despite ‘I'm no longer on the market’ is probably not considered a mortal sin. However, the older gentlemen who are rejected can rightly be a little offended. If they weren't, you would probably be offended ;) HaHa!
Before the fall of cultured, civilised society I successfully interacted with men and woman alike. It is my lot that people are drawn to me like moths to a white flame. In society's current iteration, I despise all of humanity equally, and treat all with commensurate disdain.
