In my middle 20's
What do you believe you needed but didn’t get from your parents and how has that affected your life? Use your own photos.
In the picture above, that's me in my middle 20's. Check the background well, you will notice that am in a group of person's and am holding a microphone. I went for business presentations. And after my presentations, i made a massive sells. Why are my doing all these things? Is to create a better future for myself and my children. Though the business crashed on way, but i didn't give up, rather, i switched over to another business just to make sure i achieved my goals.
But why did i start that so early instead being in school? Because their are things i strongly believed that i needed from my parents but i didn't get it from them. So, instead of dwelling on that since i have seen that the possibilities is not there, i started working on my own to see if i would give that to myself. Just like we looked up on our Creator to answer our prayers, guide and protect us, grant us our hearts desires as his children, that's how children looks up to their parents to give them the basic needs which includes, feeding, clothing, shelter, sound education, etc. Personally, i expected two things from my parents but the didn't give it to me and one of them is this..
Sound educational-. Am a lover of education and one of the most brilliant child of my parents. I needed my parents to train me to the university level but, they denied me this precious opportunity. Well, i see that many factors contributed to it. My father on it's own part was raised in a royal home. His parents sent him to school but he never loved going to school and as such, he doesn't know the importance or value of education and that made him not to see the desire in me to become a graduate. My Mom on her own loved education but was denied the opportunity too. Her parents back then has the mentality that sending a girl child to school is waisting of resources because once she gets married, the have lost everything. But mom tried her best to enroll me in primary and secondary schools. But couldn't afford to send me to higher institutions. That's what i believe i needed from my parents but didn't get it from them. It has affected my life in a negative way because by now, i would have been working in one institution with my certificate but i can't because I don't have any certifications. My knowledge when it comes for academics is limited and it limited me from knowing people of different backgrounds because university on it's own looks like another world. There, you met with people of different raises, culture and backgrounds. There are things i wish i could do but because of my level of education, i can't do them. Well, am not giving up because i must attend to that heights that's the promise i made to myself.
Another thing i needed from my parents which I didn't get from them is laying a solid foundation of wealth for me. Remember, our parents is our second God. So, for the brighter future of their children, they need to work hard to secure a better future for them. But, due to the fact that they have limited knowledge about the future, they only worked to feed us as children. And it has affected me on a very serious way. From my teenage, I have been working and hustling to survive all alone. No backup from parents or anyone. Now that i am a mother, i have seen the importance of securing a better future for my children. I really suffered to succeed and i don't want my children to experience such. I wish my parents had a knowledge of securing a better future for me, i wouldn't have suffered all these years. I would have started my life with the future they have built for me.
It doesn't matter if you are born poor, what matters is if you chose to remain poor. Am not giving up, i must work hard to give myself those things that i needed from my parents which they didn't give me and at same time, give my own own children all they needed from me. I want to make them proud and i want them to be proud of me as their mother or parents too.
The end

I try to imagine what you feel. I don't think my parents could have financed my higher education on their own either. Luckily for me, in my country, education at all levels is free. I went to university, like thousands of my compatriots, and I am grateful for that because it should be a right available to everyone. The only limit should be each person's ability to achieve it.
The positive thing is that you have not given up and continue to fight to achieve those studies that you crave.
Good luck to you. 🌷
Thanks so much my friend. Education here in my country is not for the poor. I always dreamed to become a graduate some day
Don't give up. I'm sure you'll make it.
I will definitely. Will never give up
Hmm, no power ups for a while but lots of transactions removing Hive. I'd like to support your account but cannot do so unless you're powering some of your rewards up.
Did power up few weeks ago. Please support me
I suggest to users that powering up the amount of 10% of what they take out of the blockchain every time they take funds out is a good example to set. It allows me to see there's some investment in the blockchain. It means I can see the powers ups side by side with the extraction transactions and more likely to support accounts doing that.
Noted Sir. Please you can still support me. I will do justice to what you just said. Life is not really easy in my country
Your story seems so emotional and I love the courage of yours. Even the fact that are a affected by it you didn't give up.much love ❤️
Thanks so much dear. Am not giving up until I get to my destiny Land
