RE: Weekend-engagement week 16: How does yours look?

I can (or at least used to be able :)) work in it for a while, given plenty of water and some shade to retreat to.

There is a Mexican roofing crew that works all summer here. I do not know how they do it. If there's a hotter place than on a house roof I don't know where it is..

When I'm riding in it (and I do ride in it from time to time) I stop for water every 50 miles or so. 1 liter of water per hour. Last time out I stopped in North Las Vegas for water and realized I hadn't peed since I left home (250 miles) so I stood there and just kept drinking water until I HAD to pee. The next 250 miles got me into cooler temps...

It's a lot of heat and sucks moisture our of everything. Hydrating is key. I was born here, 50 years in Australia and I still hate the extreme heat. Still, life goes on and I ma age not to completely melt each year. 😁

P.s. On a roof is the last place I'd want to be for sure. #madmexicans

I know a couple of them. Tough bastards, I'm telling you what.

No doubt. Hopefully they get paid well too.
