☀️Visit To The City Castle☀️

Hello beautiful people of hive.

Today I come to tell you about a dream that I always had and that for different reasons I had not been able to make it come true until now...

My hometown Cumaná has been founded more than 500 years ago... It has been the land of important historical figures such as the Great Marshal of Ayacucho Antonio José de Sucre, who collaborated with the liberation of our America from the Spanish yoke.

It was also the birthplace of the poet Andrés Eloy Blanco, who became immortal with his poem Angelitos negro, Las Uvas del Tiempo, to mention the most outstanding.

For this reason it is a city with many stories to tell, many magical places and museums to visit.....

Some I have visited many times especially the Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho Museum, where we can find part of the belongings of this Abel of America and also has a small art gallery where art exhibitions are held and orchids, a beautiful flower that has many varieties some more delicate than others but all beautiful.

There is a place that I always wanted to visit and for one reason or another I could never do it and that is the Castle San Antoni de la Eminencia. It is located in the historic center of the city. It can be seen from different points of the city. It is majestic, imposing - I really always dreamed of going there. I must confess that even though I was born here, there was always a problem when it came to visiting it.

But yesterday I met him. The walk to the place is about 20 minutes from downtown. It is a climb... I went with a couple of friends who told me "Don't you know the castle, what kind of a cumanesa are you? Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha....".

At the foot of the castle there is a small art gallery, they exhibit beautiful paintings of different artists of the city (we were not allowed to take pictures) the guys told the girl who received us "she doesn't know the castle and she has all her life in this town" and the girl answered "it doesn't matter if she has all her life without knowing it, the important thing is that she could finally achieve her dream".

We left the gallery and finally walked towards the castle. Every step I took I saw more enormous and imposing, my heart was racing (like a teenager seeing the boy for whom she has sighed all her life).

At last, I had finally made it, I was in the castle, what looked so tiny in the distance was now huge and the tiny me.

From there I could see the whole city and I was told that the sunsets were not wonderful. I think that when they say that they are referring not only to the place but also to the company you are with at the moment.

I stopped at a very nice place and did release therapy (I shouted "I did it", I did it") and then I sat down to contemplate the landscape, an intense blue sky, the oriental sun on my face. Finally I started to enjoy the place. And my friends looking at me, like accomplices satisfied of having accomplished a mission.

I confess that at one point I felt a tear sliding down my cheek, I guess the emotion. At last I could touch its walls, cross a small bridge, stand on one of its ramparts.

As a child I had a dream of seeing a sunset there, of having a kiss there with the love of my life and taking my children to run in it. Maybe on my next trip to this magical place I can do it and have a new story to tell you.

Until our next adventure . God bless you... a kiss to all of you. And remember it is never too late to visit a place, take a trip or simply fulfill a dream.

Amiga @angeedm, I haven't seen you around here for a long time, it's a pleasure to greet you.

So you didn't know the Castle, I haven't been there for years, but I have visited it several times, even inside, it's like being in another era.

How nice that you were able to achieve your dream, that your friends accompanied you and that you were able to enjoy the majestic view of our beloved Cumaná.

I'm glad you had a nice weekend 😙🤗

@leidimarc .Hello, what can I tell you?
Ha,ha,ha,ha.
I really wanted to do it before. When I was a kid my mom said it was too far away. As a teenager I was very insecure.
They celebrated the nights of yesteryear and because I lived far from the area I couldn't attend.
When I was a university student I had many classes. And when I started working it was the same story.
But as you say, you finally made it yay.
Thanks for reading my story.
A hug.

Dear @angeedm,
