Life and death situations
Rashidat Ogunjimi is my very best friend, I so much like her till extend I can do anything for her and I did it for her when she was on sick bed. It happened that she has aready have a Fiancé at twenty years of age and the same time she gained admission into school (The Polytechnic Ibadan). I get to know her at school, she like my vibes because I make people laugh in the class and she started talking to me since then, she invited me to her house, tell me her story, lied to me that she is married, not knowing she trusted the man that he is in Love with till extend that she thought they don't need to throw party for marriage (Marriage is a big party which we spend huge amount of money in Nigeria)
Her name is Rashidat but I call her Codine, we name her Codine on the day she drank a cough medicine called Codine and I made her drink it because I drank it first but after she drank her it, she slept for 3 days, the medicine works as sleeping dose for her, she took it on Saturday evening and woke up on Monday evening, we tried wake her up on Monday morning so as to go to class but she didn't wake up, she was still sleeping so we had no choice than to let her sleep. I and Rashidat became good friends because she have what I want and I have what she want, I made her laugh and she give me food to eat, her grandmother sends her enough money and food but I have no one to give me such.
Rashida was pregnant before she leave the house but her parent didn't notice and she didn't go during the break and holidays at school so that they won't notice. It was just few days to our second year examinations at school, it was already time for her to give birth, she had no one to call but me, the man that is responsible for the pregnant live in another city that would take him 3 hours at leave to reach here and it was already late. Rashidat called me that she is at Emmanuel Hospital at Awotan road, Apete, Ibadan and when I got there, the Doctors made me understand that it's time for her to deliver but she can't do it on her own, she have to be operated and I have to sign the papers.
In Nigeria, signing such papers is very dangerous, it's like a suicide because the Police would find more ways to implicate you, they won't think you are trying to help a friend, so I had to call the man that is responsible for the unborn baby, I asked him if I can go ahead and he said yes. I still don't want to sigh the papers as he have me go ahead but my friend is dying and I need to save her, I still need her to be alive for, this is a life and death situations, so I had to sign the papers to save Rashidat Ogunjimi, as i signed the papers, i expected the worst but my friend and her Son is save and healthy.
