WEEK 145 Weekend Engagement writing.

The romantic you

In Nigeria, especially my tribe (Yoruba) we so much appreciate respect, there is a way which we talk to our elder ones, we take the elders as god because we believe they are experienced than us, so we bow our head when we greet our elders often, even if they are just a year older, we still believe you are a god because you've been in the world before us. But there's a man I'm in love with, I am a bit older than him (with just a year) and to ask him out to be my boyfriend, he might find it ridiculous, but I couldn't even control the feelings, I have to him her and I did, then after so much time, we started dating. In Nigeria, men normally gets older than women if they would court because we so much appreciate respect and we believe our women should respect the men because they are the head (according to the Bible)

The young man is @opeyemioguns , he didn't turn me down because I am older than him, so that is so romantic to me and I always do things that is romantic for him to pay him back for not turning me down. The last one that I did is cooking, I spent time to go go the market to get vegetables and stew ingredients because I notice he like homemade food than eating outside, so I still spent hours at kitchen making her draw vegetable we call ewedu but English call it "jute leaves". It's a long process, to cook it, you need to fetch the small leaves from the branch before it can be cooked and that takes time most but I gave it my time because she worth it.

raw jute leave

Stew also took my time but not as much as jute leave took it, I only removed the green nails and blended it with electric blender, together with onions so as to bring out the food aroma and added Titus fish to make it so delicious and yummy. So I did it in just two hours with couple of minutes and I went to his place and gave it to him.

After he Finished the meal, he made me understand that cooking delicious food for him to eat is the best romantic gift that he has ever received in life, he so much appreciate it and I'm even looking forward to do more.
