RE: Weekend-Engagement: Knowing it! What I think I know.

What a story I was reading and thinking about my son who is prodigious at lying, what he doesn't know is that many times I discover his lies quickly, good thing nothing bad ever happened to you while you were sleeping on the street, your story I thought it would go another way, but it has been entertaining.

Yes, I was lucky. The good thing is that somehow, in Vegas the homeless community seem to have some sort of a code... You don't mess with each other. It's probably different now.
I lied to my parents, yes, but the only reason was not to worry them. If I would have told them the truth, there really wouldn't have been much they could have done, and they would have been worried sick.
It wasn't the first, or last time I didn't quite tell them the truth about things that had happened.
I was on my own two feet, wanting to be independent and that comes with a price.
The song 'Navy Bean' by Tracy Bonham fit my narrative at the time really well. I often played it back then haha, as a reminder.
However, they knew it all after I went back to Holland.
