Appreciating the relationship between humans and animals.

Each morning, as my one-year-old daughter wakes up, her first destination is the window. Without fail, she finds delight in the birds perched on our fence, serenading us with their enchanting melodies. It has become a cherished routine for her. She stands by the window and eagerly points while exclaiming, "birrr birrr birrr," her endearing attempt at saying "birds. The fascination babies and infants hold for animals is truly remarkable. While some are drawn to play with them, others seek the comfort and protection of their mothers upon encountering them.

Animals are very important to the stability of our ecosystem. They are the linchpin of the food chain. They facilitate the transfer of energy from one level to the next. They help maintain a delicate balance within ecosystems by regulating populations and preventing the unchecked growth of other species.

Animals are great companions, with dogs, cats, fish, and birds among the most popular choices as pets. They provide invaluable companionship. Pet owners do not feel lonely as their pets are a source of joy and comfort to them. Beyond companionship, animals, particularly dogs, play essential roles in security, both on a personal and state level, with police utilizing their abilities for protection. Additionally, when trained, animals excel in entertainment, as demonstrated in various sports and performances.

Animals are fundamental sources of protein for humans, providing essential meat and milk that contribute to our health and strength. Additionally, honey produced by bees offers both medicinal and nutritional benefits. Furthermore, animals play a crucial role in providing clothing materials, with their skins used to create various garments, particularly those suitable for colder climates such as winter wear.

Animals play essential roles in pollination and seed dispersal, contributing significantly to the reproduction and diversity of plant life. Insects and birds are great pollinators. These animals aid in the production of flowers that subsequently lead to the formation of fruits and seeds.

I remember when my dad brought home a kitten when I was not yet a teenager. He found the kitten alone, without a family, and decided to bring it home to provide food and warmth. We named her Salvador, though the reason escapes me. That first night, we fed her milk, continuing until she could eat fish and other foods. Salvador had a mischievous streak, especially around mealtime, swiftly snatching fish from anyone's plate and darting away. Despite her antics, she became a cherished companion, and her greeting each day after school never failed to warm my heart.

Caring for animals demands dedication, financial resources, and effort. It's disheartening to witness pets scavenging through garbage bins due to neglect from their owners. If someone cannot commit to feeding and caring for a pet, it's best not to buy or adopt one in the first place. Animals deserve love, attention, and responsible care from their human owners.

Regular veterinary check-ups are recommended to maintain their well-being. Do not do it just when they fall ill. Proactive measures, such as regular check-ups, help identify and address potential health issues early. It's important to maintain the longevity and quality of life of animals.

This is my response to the March inleo prompt. It's not too late to join in.

This! No matter how mischievous they can be, we love and cherish them anyway :)

I agree with you regarding regular checkups. It is our responsibility as pet owners to give them a healthy and happy home. This reminded me of a man who inquired at the vet clinic some time ago, saying all his puppies died. It turned out he never had them vaccinated.

Yeah you are right. They are always loved and cherished especially when they make those cute little faces that you can't help but pat their head❤️.

About the man who lost all his puppies,I believe he was ignorant of the fact that he needed to get them vaccinated. Many pet owners neglect these basics and it's very sad. Maybe an enlightenment campaign ought to be done to let people know that just as they care for their health, they ought to do same for their pets.

Thank you so much for stopping by.
