Looks like I indeed stepped on the road to get out of poverty. Today morning I checked my Hive wallet on PeakD, and I am happy to see that it says that the estimated interest since the last payment (14 days ago) is $2 HBD. So probably this will be around $4 HBD for the current month (2022 December). We will see. I currently have $278.39 HBD in savings. I keep building it (regularly transferring HBD to savings). Soon I will have $300 HBD in savings.
Some investors are saying that this is hard to start, but once it starts rolling, then there will be a snowball effect, and that the snowball effect is very powerful.
Probably they mean the compound interest (the interest of the interest). And I already experienced that in the past. Once I had around $1500 HBD in savings, and I received more than $20 HBD interest per month in that time. But I had to withdraw and sell that. Nowadays I am building it again, and hopefully I will not need to withdraw it this time. Hopefully I can build this in long term.
It is hard to get out of poverty (especially, if you live with multiple disabilities), but I keep focusing on getting out of poverty. After I get out of poverty, I will build a good enough passive income to financially be able to buy and maintain/repair a sailboat. I would like to have a sailboat to live on it.
I think that both of these goals are possible to achieve with the help of the Hive blockchain community. The people are kind and generous, and there are many inspiring/motivating people. Some people make a living with the Hive blockchain. And they are very inspiring/motivating.
I keep being consistently active on the Hive blockchain. I already see that being commited, persistent and consistent is rewarding.
Hopefully I will achieve the above mentioned goals, and that I will also inspire/motivate other people too. Actually maybe I already inspire/motivate other people. Seeing the progress itself is inspiring/motivating.

I use both. I use Ecency to interact with the Hive blockchain. This includes building the Hive Dollar (HBD) savings, and building the Hive Power too. Nowadays Ecency is my favorite Hive blockchain application.

Unfortunately scams can often happen on the internet. For example four years ago (in 2018) @magicdice was a scam on the Steem blockchain. The Hive blockchain was forked from the Steem blockchain in 2020. This is why the Magic Dice account is visible on the Hive blockchain too.
That's preety awesome I never know that is a means of earning passive income. It's a pleasure that hive has been able to put smiles on the faces of it's users. If you got more I think the interest rate will be significantly increased. I'll also copy that step.
The interest rate is mostly constant (nowadays it is 20% APR) (it is very rarely change), but the more amount you have in savings, the more amount you earn in interest. This is why I am building it. It is very good in long term. Good luck and all the best with building it.

Nice job! That is awesome. Definitely keep it up! It just grows and grows and grows! It is actually kind of addictive. My first goal was to have enough saved that I was earning 1 HBD per day. After I hit that I wanted to start saving enough so I earned 100 HBD per month. Now that I hit that goal I am aiming for something even higher! It all adds up!

For sure! That $100 per month doesn't buy too much here in the US, so I just keep letting it roll back in. Who knows, one day it could be $1000 a month and that would make a difference!
$100 USD per month in passive income would make a big difference for me. $100 USD is approximately the half of my pension-like income for my multiple disabilities. It is ~80 000 Hungarian Forint (HUF) per month, which is currently $208.85 USD per month, because $1 USD is currently 383.05 Hungarian Forint (HUF). My pension-like income is much less than the local minimum wage, which is currently 133 000 Hungarian Forint (HUF) ($347.21 USD) per month, and our currency is nearly worthless anyway.
Dang, maybe I need to move! Kidding of course. It's crazy how different things are just based on where you live. $100 isn't horrible where I live, but if you go to one of the coasts it may as well be $1.

A long-term focus is often the best way to build a nest of this nature because you wouldn't be moved by anything including market conditions.
