I'm not surprised Khal, the truth is some Hivers who use the INLEO UI for long-form posts, are more concerned about the Leo.voter curation and that is why they only come on threads to drop a threadstorm for their posts.
They don't even know about Threadcast and other new features on INLEO, INLEO AMA, The Lion's Den show and Chain Chatter.
I try to encourage them to use the features and engage more on threads but they keep looking for Leo.voter, lol. They are more focused on the upvotes, the immediate financial gains and neglect building for the long term.
We need to encourage the newbies and old Hivers to use the INLEO features more and make them understand it's not all about upvotes.
It is good to see more people try out the shorts feature.
There is so much more to this platform than getting upvotes. To me, the upvotes are a nice little bonus. The real draw for me, and I am being totally honest, is the ownership aspect and seeing what people create here because they don't have to be concerned about censorship.
It always should be a bonus
There is so much to this platform
So much.
Sure, but only a few who know this are willing to build a brand here.
That's it, Ownership, I am at peace here knowing that I own my account and my content, the space and brand I am creating here.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Happy Monday. #freecompliments
You're very welcome! I am right there with you. So much better than banging my head against the wall trying to get views on YouTube, etc. I mean, use them, to be in more places, but don't count on getting much out of it. Other than being more visible.
Keep encouraging them!
I think the thing is that it's not even people who do what you're describing. That's a small minority
Many of the people I talked to said that they had been told not to use INLEO (likely by people who are bitter and jealous toward INLEO's innovation)
These people have literally never visited Inleo.io and have no idea what is built here
Then when I showed it to them, they couldn't believe it is "on Hive"
They asked if Threads & Shorts are centralized
They are not, they are built on Hive. That amazed them. I showed them the same permalinks from INLEO as they appear on hive.blog/hivehub.dev and it blew their minds
To change this, we need to keep educating everyone both insiders and outsiders about what we are building here
Wow! That's serious. Now, I remember a comment I came across on a blog post a few months ago, I could notice the bitterness in the tone of the comment, lol. The commenter didn't want to use INLEO front end for the contest in that particular community, so he said he won't participate because the contest encouraged publishing from INLEO.
I wondered and wonder why so much hatred and bitterness for this awesome and successful project.
Anyway, when something is created, it isn't created for everyone, those who it is created for will stick around, build it in order for it to flourish
Sure, we will keep educating people all about INLEO, we need more owners.
What kind of toxic idiots do that type of thing. If there are Whales and Orca like that, it is no surprise HIVE has been in the gutter for all of this time. Our financial metrics are not too far ahead of STEEM.
We need project like @leofinance and @splinterlands to bring us users + features.
