This is definitely how things should be. Bringing in external revenue, to directly reward those that have some LEO Power makes it feel more like a co-operative venture than just a blog-for-tokens effort.
Capturing the value of the community efforts, and rewarding them. Will be interesting to watch the long term impacts.
