In the world of silver stacking, community has always been at the heart of everything we do. Whether it’s sharing insights, showing off shiny new additions, or lending a helping hand to a fellow stacker, we thrive on the bonds we form. With the dawn of 2025 approaching, I’ve decided to embark on an ambitious project inspired by a legend from our stacking past: Mr Zeke’s unforgettable silver giveaway from YouTube days gone by.
Before blockchain and platforms like Hive became the hub for stackers, YouTube was where we gathered. It was a thriving community of silver enthusiasts sharing knowledge, showcasing handmade bars and rounds, and hosting giveaways. Mr Zeke’s idea stuck with me all these years because it wasn’t just about the silver—it was about the journey, the connections, and the joy of giving. Now, I want to bring that spirit to the #silvergoldstackers community, but with a twist.
This isn’t your typical giveaway where one lucky winner gets to keep the prize. Instead, it’s a journey—a 12-month adventure centred around a single piece of hand-poured silver, made by yours truly.
Here’s how it works:
The first winner: In January, I’ll draw a name from a list of participants. This winner will receive my hand-poured silver bar (a mystery design for now) along with some additional goodies.
The catch: While they can keep the extra gifts, they must pass on the silver bar at the end of February to the next winner, chosen by them through a live draw on our community Discord or another transparent platform.
Passing the torch: Each month, the process repeats. The bar travels to a new home, with each holder signing a special “holder’s card” to mark their role in its journey. They’re free to add their own gifts, keep the ones included, or simply pass on the bar itself, but the silver bar, certificate of authenticity, and holder’s card must move on.
The final winner: In December, the lucky 11th person to receive the bar gets to keep it—and any treasures accumulated along the way.
The beauty of this giveaway isn’t just in the silver bar but in the connections it fosters. Imagine a single piece of silver travelling the globe, touching the lives of 11 different stackers, each adding their unique mark to its story. It’s a testament to the power of generosity and community—a tangible representation of what makes the #silvergoldstackers group so special.
Of course, there’s a risk that someone might decide to keep the bar prematurely. But the beauty of this experiment lies in trust. If it works, we’ll have created something extraordinary: a shared experience that spans continents, strengthens our community, and celebrates the spirit of giving.
This post is just the beginning. I’ll be releasing a final confirmation post at the start of 2025 with all the details on how to participate. For now, I hope this sparks excitement within the community. Together, we can make this giveaway a success—and a story to remember for years to come.
