Turn the coin over. I bet it says Gibraltar, or some place not UK.

I really shouldnt diss the london mint too much, theyve done a handfull of semi-decent coins, but theyre not actually legal tender in the UK. Theyre a procate mint, that like to confuse elderly folks to part with a lotnog money. Usually through monthly subscriptions to cheap, plated tat. I avoid them.

Yea, I got that they were rather dodgy, but I reckoned a pure silver coin was worth a £10 at the time ( I'm a total noob here and don't do anything with coins really) I'd have a look at a coin, but I gave them away a few yrs ago.

So, this one is the real first silver sov then ?
