Almora is a very small hill station situated in state uttarakhand india. My town is known for many things like it's beauty sweets temples many things but the first thing is HANDMADE COPPER WORK...
This copper work of almora is many many many years old and this business is also the main earning of many peoples who live here. Most of the copper workers are masters of this work they do this whole work with their own hands from beginning to the end.

Those who do this work they buy copper sheets from market and heat them in fire and bring them into shape by beating them with hammer. They can make anything like home decor, kitchen vessels, flowerpots anything..
Today i want to tell you that this business is in the verge of it's extinction who which has spoiled the financial condition of many peoples here so that many master craftsmens are facing poverty.. 20-30 years ago from today this business used to be very good from this business copper workers used to earn very well but....... Since the machines have started being used so this handmade copper business is now being done by machines Due to which the handmade copper business of these people is being snatched from them and many peoples due to which many people have become unemployed.They have neither money nor work due to which they are neither able to send their children to good school for their education nor are they able to fullfil all their needs. Due to lack of work for these peoples, these peoples are leaving this town and going to other cities in search for work, due to which now only 10-13 peoples are doing this HANDMADE copper business here. Due to which this work is now on the verge of it's extinction, after these people there is no one will be left to continue this HANDMADE COPPER BUSINESS... And this beautiful art Business is going to end..

Copper workers make products like this and take them into the market to sell this product then the shopkeeper lies to them and does not give them a fair price, he says that this work will be done more cheaper rate in machines and he takes this product from them, these workers aren't very educated they believe in every words of the shopkeeper and they sell their products to the shopkeepers and the shopkeeper sells this products to rich customers in higher price and he make 40-50% more profit than it's original price.
The COPPER products which are made my machines are not last long but HANDMADE COPPER products are more beautiful in appearance and last long..

The shopkeeper sends the cheap machine made products to these master craftsmen for handcarving on those products and he sells the machine made products to rich customers by lying that these products are handmade..
For handcarving shopkeeper gives very tiny amount to these master craftsmen and shopkeeper gets very huge profit... Due to this this HANDMADE COPPER BUSINESS REDUCED ALOT MORE THAN ALOT...
One day just an idea came to my mind is like i am gonna stop this scam and i am gonna sell these products online and i go to these workers daily I motivates them I talked to them that together we should start selling your products online...so that we can sell their products in India and also in other countries which gives a good amount to these hardwokers and everi get their job again...
The shopkeeper are fooling their customers lying to them he charges much more amount than original price,,,from this online business we can sell our authentic original HANDMADE products directe to the customers so that customers doesn't have to suffer any kind of loss. The workers should also get full payment of their hardwork so that they can fullfil every need of themsi and their childrens and this beautiful business can be saved from its extinction and every mastercraftmen should get a good employment...
