Achtung vor gefakten Bitcoin-Offline-Wallets, die angeblich auf der Straße in Wien verloren wurden.
Gerade geistert in den österreichischen Medien eine Warnung vor einer neuer Krypto-Betrugsmasche herum. Die Polizei warnt bereits davor.
Betrüger lassen gefakte Bitcoin Offline Wallets irgendwo liegen mit angeblich Tausenden Euro in Bitcoin.
Diese warten dann auf unehrliche Finder, die die Wallets nicht zur Polizei bringen, sondern selbst claimen wollen.
Um die Bitcoin zu erhalten, muss man allerdings eine Gebühr überweisen. Die Bitcoin erhält man natürlich nie.
Was sagt ihr dazu? Habe in Wien noch keine derartige Wallet auf der Straße herumliegen gesehen, werde aber ein Auge darauf werfen.

Beware of fake Bitcoin offline wallets that were allegedly lost on the streets in Vienna.
A warning about a new crypto scam is currently circulating in the Austrian media. The police have already issued a warning.
Fraudsters are leaving fake Bitcoin offline wallets on the streets somewhere with supposedly thousands of euros in Bitcoin.
These are then waiting for dishonest finders who do not take the wallets to the police but want to claim them themselves.
To receive the Bitcoin, however, one has to transfer a fee. Of course, one never receives the Bitcoin.
What do you think? I haven't seen a wallet like that lying around on the street yet, but I'll keep an eye on it.

laut den Nachrichten von heute Morgen,
ging es Hauptsächlich um Datenklau, ( Bank daten, Namen usw.)
und dann ging es um eine Aktivierungsgebühr ....

It's a paper wallet or just a QR code to a phishing site.
Wie viele Leute müssen darauf wohl reinfallen, dass sich das lohnt? Bei Geld setzt bei manchen wohl einfach der Verstand aus...

This scam is a classic with many versions but I have never understood why someone believes they have won the lottery but first has to pay. It's absurd!

Just imagine the lengths they would go to just to dupe innocent people of their hard earned cash, I mean these fraudsters. I think more people need to hear about this especially in Vienna though it might not be only Vienna for long. Thanks for the info.

Irgendwie kann ich mir nicht vorstellen, dass jemand auf diesen Trick hereinfallen wird, sobald er sieht, dass er selbst Geld schicken soll. 😂
Kann ich mir auch kaum vorstellen, vlt ist die Gebühr als Transaktionsgebühr getarnt oder so.
Kann mir schon vorstellen, dass der eine oder andere drauf einfällt. Jetzt wo Bitcoin wegen dem Preis öfters mal in den Mainstream-Medien auftaucht, ist der Begriff präsenter.

I've heard of many scams, but not this one. They better stop littering the streets.
