We will come to the point user experience on hive will be the same or better as on web2.
This will be the inflection point everything changes at a speed we can't imagine today. The most important is, all tools are ready to this point.
Think about onboard full sites with softwallets. Forums to Hive, Reddit to hive. Twitter to hive.
Hive is the future and rewards in Hive are IMO some things of mining period we have. Smts will fix opinion flagging, spam and so on IMO
I think user experience can be improved greatly all on the front ends, it's in progress, and we've got a DAO to fund further development.
By SMTs do you mean second layer tokens like LEO - @blocktrades doesn't seem to be any rush to launch into actual SMTs any time soon, in the last core DEV meeting he said he'd looked at the code and it needed several months work. The Steem team were no where near finishing it.
I mean with it Smart contract sidechain tokens. I think the stuff from steemit team is useless in terms of real Smts.
A lot of people I talk to told me, it was a lot of promise and close to nothing deliver in terms of code that's useable.
My hope is the sidechain Blocktrades plan will be the holy grail :P
