Downvotes are an actual use case of stake. And how someone uses their stake and money is up to them.Of course, muting in tribes is a thing too and proofbrain decided to use it on one of the few people that actually put real money on proof of brain instead on relying on votes. I have a feeling that won't work out well for the price of pob. POB had essentially just 2 big investors up to now, one started to power down and I doubt more will come after this action.

Today I learned that muting not only disallows someone from posting to that front end, but also makes it so they cannot curate anything. I did not know about that last part.
I think the main issue here is that PoB muted someone and then all of the people who didn't know muting also took away curating are finding out about it, THAT is potentially bad optics for ALL Hive Engine tokens as they all have that ability. That is something I am concerned about, as well as some of the posts that markymark made recently showing Hive Engine token creators can just decide to inflate all tokens in one day if they decide to.
So overall there is some bad optics on Hive Engine not being as decentralized as it should be, I think that's where we should be focusing.
Hmmmm.... Sad for pon.
