One thing that caught my interest recently is vertical farming. One interesting stuff is that they are not used solely for food production. Some companies are using them to produce plant-based medicine as well.

They must be 100% isolated and monitored all the time to ensure that no diseases or anything like that get in the silos where plants grow so there is quite a lot of investment in technologies to monitor and assess that kind of risk

That was something that got a lot of publicity but hasnt seemed to gain traction.

I dont know if the technology is not there yet or what. I think a major company in the US that was into that went bankrupt.

Could be conflicts of interest with traditional farming, I dunno... I think it's picking up nicely in some countries in Asia

That might be. 60% of the global population is in Asia so they have a lot of mouths to feed.

They also can be packed in with land at a premium in many areas. So it makes sense.
